Hi, All!!!
I recently got out of the ZF texts and
looked here, in General...
... oh my God! (dirty orc curse) what do I see! It took a while to get distracted and the Sprinter managed to become the future
Speccy! The brainwashing company is already in full swing, in no way inferior to the PC one. And even our great philosopher
(C)Nemo took the bait and got into a pointless argument. After reading the echo, only one question arises - Has everyone been so zombified that people listen to Petersam as the word of God or simply no one knows anything about the subject of the conversation?(company employees don’t count)
I would like to hope for the latter, because... in the case of
the first, only surgical intervention will help...>:-<
People!!! Have you carefully read the Petersburg papers? Have you been to their “Presentations”?
Are you familiar with the authors of the project?
If not, I’ll share with you something that the glorious representatives of the company, of course, by accident or out of ignorance, forgot to
mention...
Do you know that...
Sprinter has a unique format of graphical data? It is unique because of its page-like video content, which is larger in volume than the Z80 can handle. Not because it is impossible to read data from a separate
video oz, but it is necessary to duplicate them in a regular oz.
(Have you read the piece of paper that was given at the second presentation? If not, then I highly recommend it. There they responded to this claim with a story about how nicely the background is restored after sprite setup... I probably haven't read anything funnier since the time of ZF-3)
The way of presenting graphical data
in Sprinter is unique in that it is not suitable
for either planar or vector graphics!!!
Isn't that cool? It’s really a pity for all the bells and whistles that could be done, say, with a background by repeating the window on all windows...
Keyboard... int, nmi...
that is, after confirming the first interruption, it comesnmi... comments are unnecessary...
or maybe this glitch has already been fixed? There were possibilities.
Z84C15 is a cool thing! built-in ports (serial and parallel) IN THE PROCESSOR!!!
(as in the Z180, for example) have their own control ports, with their own addresses, naturally, 8-bit by the way... And no matter what they tell you - it’s better to forget about undocumented commands. Moreover, due to the absence of TRAP-interrupt (as in the same
Z-180), forget it forever.
Video - accelerator. (Will it be in the first sales model or not?) No matter how much
they explained to Ivan how it should work, there is no sense - we do it our own way..
Instead of pouring through a hose from one
bucket to another, we will have to scoop out
the bathroom with a ladle (this, undoubtedly, is faster than a teaspoon, however smacks of pathology...).
What else is left in this coolest car? Oh yes - hardware filling of a closed
circuit in a chunked screen.
We ask Ivan: At what speed does it work? - Works instantly!!!
No, what is it? And this is a specialist - a developer (the only one in addition) Then we still find out how many pixels per int can
be filled. And it turns out that it’s sadly small - half as much as on the A-500.
Why do we need such a brake fill!
(we won’t draw filled primitives
on principle... really, why?..)
Well, at least we managed to explainThe great
Designer, how it should work sounded personally on E'97.
All hardware is accessible only through
OS functions. Competently. If only a competent OS could be applied to this... I wonder what kind of work there is with
only one question - Has everyone been so zombified that people listen to Petersam as the word of God, having worked for more than one year on the project, the developer is not familiar with standard formats of graphic data (do not know what such JPG... ) and only one question remains - Is it possible that everyone has been so zombified that people listen to Petersam as the word of God not only graphically... (the first sound card was... oooh...). (02.27)
Now about the company's policy.
What do we know about soft, except that
there will be a sea of it?
The company provides computers to those who want it,
in retaliation ;) for which they will write
the coolest SOFT, (apparently for the rest of their
life). The price of the car is $98.
Now, with a competent approach, by writing
games on Spectrum you can get about
from $100 (minimum!!!) - $500 (average,
not right away of course) to - remember UFO-2
(see ONLINE N I don’t remember) $3000.
Oh, sorry, I forgot - the company promises install hardware protection that CANNOT BE BREAKED and distribute the programs they bring. (let's skip the topic aboutprotection)
Probably the authors will make a lot of money on this.
Suppose that the author has $1 from the program
or, let it be a cool program
(Alone in the DARK 3++) - $5.
After transferring the program to PETERS,
ALL USERS OF THE SPRINTER COMPUTER
it immediately are buying.
How many cars were sold? - What is the guaranteed sales? - How much will the author receive?
The company declared its intentions to finance the development of serious software.
When are they informed that the development of the OS
will not cost them 100 tr. and not even
500 tr. They say - we don’t have that kind of
money.
- A professional OS is a year of work
with a full monthly salary
for a programmer. (about $200 per month)
Peters - Well, we are enthusiasts, there are people
who agree to write...
(but there is no money)
If this is the case with the OS, then what can we say
about the rest of the necessary programs
tools - I would like to quote Andrey
Larchenko, from an interview in ZX-Format 6
=== CUT ===
He actually proposes to make a new
computer, a question arises to me - who
will support it with software?
Judging by the description, it will be a fairly
powerful computer - with a multitasking OS,
word processor (with elements of a publishing system), protocols and programs
for accessing the Internet... If all of this is not available (and this is a very large volume work, including pre-preparation:compilers, linkers - i.e. instrumental tools with which all this will be done, or cross tools that also need to be made and configured), then the prospects are sad. Next, how much will all this cost? And not only hardware, but also
programs.
=== CUT ===
It was said about Transformer, but it fully applies to “Sprinter”.
Well, that’s all for the first time.
I said almost all of this to both the director
and the designer (Ivan), but it didn’t cause any reaction... Sad.
Sincerely, Ruster.
