Sprinter ( 2Max Romanoff)

ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Andrew Savichev To All 25 January 1998

Hi, All!

Greetings, Max Romanoff!

> Comparisons between normal and normal begin again :)))
No, how could it be otherwise? What kind of wife do you want...a beautiful bitch
or a good man? ;)...A vile life will never offer you
_everything_ that _you_ need...and if it does, it will be at a price...that you
cannot afford today. What's next?..."for the life of us" we can talk about it in soap and water.

Nobody argues with this. But this is what it gives you for your $165, the capabilities of a normal _Spectrum_ for today and MORE than an emulsion can give you - try to challenge THIS.

> Hmm... let's see what we can buy for $500...

Yes, that’s right, only the 100th one has already “been put into circulation” ;)
And don’t forget that the Sprinter is a unique thing, at best it will be
produced in 2,000 copies, and not in 100 million, like a stump.
Can you compare the Lada with a Rolls-Royce? mass stamped product with
manual assembly. Therefore, compare Sprinter with Scorpio, Pentagon, etc.

So we should be happy about it!download the software for stumps over the network, and then
try it for Spectrums... the modern bandwidth of our
networks... a sharp knife for beams... which I am incredibly happy about!!! :)
And therefore, I perceive Peters’ attempts to “inflate the screen” very skeptically.

> why under DOS? You can use wine, no problem.
only 3.11, 95 - must-day!

there is a store with cheap compacts and no
you have to frantically try to remember the number tray
in which they sold you rubbish last weekend ;)

Yeah, if all Scorpios suddenly depreciate in value. ;)
Let this not happen! You can buy it for $165, and in a year it won’t drop below $145!
Until the next Sprinter-2 :)
Judge for yourself, why is it cheaper?
Flopika for $20, or $6 mouse or $9clave, or maybe $27 for a case with a power supply (excellent
modern design - and, moreover, everything is new, not some used one!
But only with a screw, of course... and where can they get an inexpensive and new IDE for
40-100 meg, IMHO unrealistic.
I would set the flash to 16 meg - so you'll start screaming that prices
inflated.
No, Peters has normal prices, they also sell tree stumps nearby, and they know “what for how much”
no worse than you and I.
But take a look at their board, estimate how much everything that costs there costs and
it will become clear that $95 for such a board is a normal and even very normal price!
(if you especially take into account their circulation)

He can’t “think” ;), and as for DOOM... it’s all in DR’s hands!

All the best! Andrey Savichev / CGS
