┌────────────────────────────start─here s──────────────────── ────────────────┐
1. Memory distribution.
Four processor windows of 16k each <-> 256 RAM blocks of 16k each
RAM blocks are connected by outputting a single-byte
value to an eight-bit port. The specific port addresses
of these four pages will be issued by the BIOS function.
For programmers who do not want to use these functions, I can
suggest using
symbolic variables for window ports in all assembly programs. This will simplify
in the future writing new versions of programs in case
of changesthese addresses. This will also eliminate the need
to know specific values before the machine leaves. Once
the machine appears, the programmer can easily determine
the required port address values and insert their
values into his program. After this, he need not
worry about the possible theft of his program,
since it will not work on other machines, where
the window port addresses issued by the BIOS will be different.
== Config Protection ! ==
2. Port configuration.
In schemes similar to the ZX-Spectrum, the port configuration will be
set by the Operating System before starting the program.
BIOS allows you to configure all ZX-Spectrum ports as this is
necessary for the program to work.
3. Access to external devices installed in ISA-8 slots.
ISA-8 standard. Addresses, data, read/write signals to memory and ports are completely the same. Signals for interrupt
requests and direct access requests are input through the processor port
. Direct access confirmation signals, AEN,
reset, A20..A14 are output through the ports.
Slots are accessed separately. Those. devices
in the slots (if they are operational) physically cannot
conflict with each other.
All ports of the slots are available! The circuit is constructed in such a way
that the slot ports are included inMEMORY address space
Z80. They are connected as special pages of RAM. The address space of the slot memory is also
included.
4. Keyboard.
Interruptions from the keyboard appear ONLY in the mode of receiving
SCAN code. In ZX-Spectrum mode, all keyboard
codes are processed by HARDWARE, and the processor sees normal keystrokes
read through the #FE port.
5. Mouse.
Sprinter uses a standard serial mouse like the
Microsoft Mouse. Reception of mouse signals is carried out through the serial port of the processor. Each received byte
is accompanied by an interrupt signal (if necessary
it can be masked). The installed driver can
copy the received values to the Kempston-Mouse ports and thus
??? emulate this mouse ???
6. Winchester.
Standard IDE interface. The organization of the data port allows
to use the INIR command to enter sector data from the hard drive.
This ensures the fastest possible operation. (Both the processor and the hard drive can limit
the speed).
7. KR1818VG93. Everything is the same except for one detail in
TR-DOS port #1F is replaced with #0F to eliminate the ONLY
conflict arising due to the existence of internal
port #1F in the Z84C15 processor. The computer circuit allows
to effectivelyreplace port #1F with #0F when executing
programs in RAM. Thus, in the ZX-Spectrum
mode, a conflict with the Kempston joystick port is eliminated when commands like IN A,(#1F)
8 appear. Sound.
1. Covox. - from 1 to 16 voices of 8 bits.
2. Sound Card - 8 voices, 8 bits of voice. Effective
sound bit depth is 13 bits. For each voice
a waveform, frequency and amplitude are determined.
For the skeptics: Listen to what the AY-3-8910 does on
three voices, with 4-bit volume control
and a single square waveform.
And imagine. 8 voices with adjustable
signal shape, and separate volume control in
left and right channels (10 bits on each voice).
The internal architecture of the machine allows
to change the Sound Card circuit!
9. CMOS clock.

That's it.
