Quite seriously (development of a legally impeccable SOS project)
ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»
From Andrew Savichev → To All 17 February 1998
Hi, All!
Hello, Evgeniy!
Apparently you are not carefully reading the bazaar on the topic of SOS, since you did not
understand my position.
And from the very beginning it was this: to make the project legally impeccable.
First, develop documents (the project), discuss, bring to the attention of everyone
and only then, having created a legal structure, and not a “network underground” center,
proceed to actions.
I deliberately do not respond to all your messages here, I will answer with soap.
But don’t bury the idea itself!
Criticism is great, but constructive criticism. And if all this seems nonsense to you, then why so much emotion in response? A short message is enough, one
"all this is nonsense and nonsense!" - that's all. And if you get involved in a discussion, it means
there really is something worthwhile in this idea.
Okay, let’s say you discourage Sergei and me from doing this.
It’s good if you yourself have a real plan, but what if not?
Why should networks sit “on beans” and on freeware for the rest of their lives?
After all, many are already accustomed to receiving from networks not only answers to questions
but also software and press and pictures with Mouzon - everything that you think should not
be distributed here.
It’s a pity, but frivolous = not very high-quality “good”.
About the organization: Sergei does not want to make a center in Moscow and, apparently, the entire
Moscow Spectrum elite (?),which is very strange - since they have traditions
of the real capital. And geographically, St. Petersburg is not quite the center of Russia, which
predetermined its fate; it could not remain the capital for long, since the goal
was only to “open a window to Europe.”
Well, okay, we’ll open a central headquarters here, and then what?
If Spectrum had any special interests in Finland, Estonia or
Sweden ;)
In general, no get hot. FunTop will have to answer a lot of
questions. And the most important thing: whether Moscow should be the center of SpectrumWorld or not.
As for which option will go: Novikov or Savichev...there were 20 letters in
support for Sergei, and only 1 person responded well to my project;(
So do you think this adds to my enthusiasm in achieving my ideals? ;)
With respect, Andrey Savichev/CGS
ps: on soap replied only yesterday, if anything, shake your boss
From Sergei Novikov → To All 17 February 1998
Hello Andrew!
I missed several letters here, so the question is: has anyone responded to
the offer to become the organizer of this project (which will then be worked out
in detail)? I repeat once again: WE NEED 2-3 HONEST PEOPLE with access to e-mail and the ability to spend an hour a day sending files/receiving transfers/etc. If no takers are found, the project
is terminated. Although _the people_ are FOR, unanimously (that is, I don’t consider Milun).

This is for six months of work. All we need is for organizers to be found. Next -
we begin processing users through mass media, simultaneously working out a plan
for the association's work.

For God’s sake. If anyone wants, do it in Moscow. It’s just that the headquarters in St. Petersburg would help
save a lot of money that the post office would receive.
AS> and apparently the entire Moscow Spectrum elite(?), which is very

So there are almost no active “scene figures” left :(

Why? Crowds of pilgrims will not flock to the headquarters! All you need to do is
receive translations, send money to worthy authors (which you won't have to do every day) and throw the software into the echo chamber. And your echo works well.

Damn, who buries the idea itself? Have you seen my response to Novikov’s “anecta”? The whole point is that now I don’t see any fundamentally new idea... At least in the nonsense that he carries. An ordinary
communist paradise.

Eh, you didn’t understand anything... :((((( I just treat this project

needs all this... Because so far he sees only the “shadow of the new MMM” and the “ghost
of communism”.

An axiom known since ancient times: what Milun says is nonsense. So, after

Hello Sergei !
Thursday February 19 1998 19:11, Sergei Novikov ─── Andrew Savichev:
SN> Oh, hold me ::)))))))))))) Soon you will die laughing... Himself
SN> Milun %\P will do a questionnaire... :DD If he couldn’t even imagine how to
SN> answer it negatively, although one person has already done so: he supported the idea of SOS
SN>, but he didn’t want to pay 10 thousand to the authors...
That is, the person who said that the idea of SOS (and _IN_ _GENERAL_ _VIEW_ - that’s how
this question sounded) he supports (and in general the idea of consolidation
is supported by everyone - I don’t think that there will be a person who would call on the spektrumists to disunite), but will not pay money (i.e., participate in all
of this), is considered a “person supporting SOS”?
Well, this is exactly what I called “impossible to answer negatively” - the questionnaire is compiled in such a way that even a negative answer will be interpreted
as "in support of SOS." By the way, if you didn't indulge in tweeting so often,
you would have seen how I responded to all of this...
So, %subj% ? Or how?
From Evgeny Milun → To All 20 February 1998
SN> ... and is unlikely to see it at all...
Judging by the fact that you have never seen my programs (they “just don’t
interest you”), but you persistently talk about their low quality, “lameness” and
uselessness to anyone, I conclude that within the framework of the SOS project, when evaluating
programs, the main focus is personal likes/dislikes will be placed in the angle. So ? Or
%subj% ?
From Evgeny Milun → To All 20 February 1998
SN> Do you see the sycophant? Trying to attract potential supporters to his
SN> side! Ha-ha.. It won’t work.
If your feelings have already completely clouded your mind, then ask
someone to explain to you the contents of my letters. In these lines (see
above) Andrey answered a little of the questions that interested me. He sent me a more complete answer in netmail. His answers partially coincided with my thoughts
which is what I told him.
Where is the sycophancy here? An attempt to "win over to your side"? So far I
see only one attempt here, _YOUR_, an attempt to be rude. Moreover, in the spirit of
preschool children.
And if you look in the “subj” field, you will see there the phrase “legally
impeccable”. This phrase is, in a sense, the answer to my question.
(No, well, it’s not my fault that you are not yet accustomed to earning your own living,
and you still don’t know what you’re going to face. I’m afraid, for this you need
to finish school first...)

Well, it’s an axiom or not, but I’m wondering if you know:
1) What does the definition of “legal entity” mean? (Did you already go through this at school?)
2) That SOS in the sense you want (“encouraging and stimulating authors”)
is also actually a legal entity.
3) That the same Zonov company “Scorpion” is a legal entity? (Respectively:
do you know how it was registered?) The same for "Logross" ?
"Inforcom" ?
4) How much do people trading in the markets pay to whom and how (in our case -
software traders)? How much do they pay for a place? For a license to trade?
5) Why do ALL editors of Spectrum electronic publications strictly
warn subscribers - “send letters and parcels to us not to the name
of the magazine editors ...” or “creative group ...”, but to the name of some
individual faces." (Ask Matveev, he will explain it to you.)
6) That in the Russian Federation EVERYONE, both legal entities and individuals, must
pay income tax on every ruble of their profit? Otherwise, these people
are considered CRIMINAL.
If you haven’t understood yet, then II was interested in what SOS would look like regarding all these issues. Or have you just never thought about it yourself? Or are we going to joke?

By the way, are there any professional lawyers among the subscribers? How legitimate will it be to accept postal orders in large quantities and not pay taxes? In principle, the organizers will not receive any income from this - all the money will go to the authors of the software. And a declaration of income must be submitted by all persons
whose income over the past year from two or more sources of earnings amounted
to more than 12 million rubles (for 1997, how much will be further is unknown).

No, I’m definitely freaking out... First you come at me seriously, and then
it turns out that this question worries you too, you just “somehow haven’t thought about it.” Although, as the author of this idea, I should have.
P.S. By the way, your target lines are great. I'm flattered. In order to get me
you kicked/invented a bunch of quotes from "Dune" and
"Star Wars". Wow, you even managed to remember my most favorite NF
works... Touched to the depths of my soul. ;))))))))))
