quite seriously...from Andrey Savichev
ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»
From Tyukaev Eugene Vladimirovich → To All 24 February 1998
Hello, Zhenya!
Here, forward, plz in zx.spectrum with SUBJ (Quite seriously...from Andrey Savichev)
Hi, All!
> DG> Drop it. I'm not talking about simple cases. Agree that on emulators
DG> it’s much easier to set up such a mess from hundreds of files and, in general, to do THIS kind of thing
DG> than on a real Specky with a disk drive.
>
>No, of course you can in the case of CV, but if, for example, a game like “Vinipuh”, then it
>almost loads into memory all at once, you can tear it apart in 30
minutes. Not all projects are as global as ChV.
Well, finally... we’ve arrived, I say, finally :)
In general, this: from now on, I suggest that everyone under one SUBJ not crowd and neatly
scatter into three heaps:
1) the Malkov/Letaev project and everything connected with it, you can call
The Big Software Market (in English) or C-Soft;
2) the Novikov/Savichev project - here we will still argue and maybe we will come to some kind of consensus ;) Small software market or, in short, N-Soft
3) ways to protect N-software (well, since this topic is secret, we can do it).
> DG> The benefit is in supporting authors, keeping them on the platform. You need to think more globally
> DG>, Alex, you know how :) And don’t forget that in addition to
> DG> the distribution of secure network software, we are also talking about freeware.
And not just in retaining authors, but also in attracting new ones!
...and evenfar from newbies!!!.
You will remember HOW MANY former Spectrumists work the hell out of nowhere :( If they
understand that there is a fair amount of online buyers of Spectrum software...
in a word, as the Americans say, “prostitutes will follow the miners
even to the ends of the earth” ;)
>
>And what’s bad if Malkov’s project works, and according to this project for heaps
will there be trading in software for verticals?
And the bad thing is that there are heaps...I repeat once again: I am FOR all the limbs
if non-network traders become interested in the EMERGING network market and
start working on it too! To do this, they don’t have to stand for hours in cold
and heat waiting for buyers.
Finally, you understand, BOOTS OF THE KING OF HEAVEN ;) (simply returning your own
ball ;) ) THE WHOLE WORLD IS NOW TRADE ON NETWORKS!!!
------
Where are you? ...it won't interfere with sleep;)
>it will interfere. And instead of trying to promote this project in an echo, we don’t even see anyone’s proposals. :-(((
I personally have no idea about the SUBTLETS of trade among straight people, i.e. what
I saw as a buyer is terrible :(
...let's take St. Petersburg for example...
Have you seen the CV Advertising in the media? And at least in those newspapers
that are handed out for free at every metro station?
And on the Advertising panels in Gostinka and Petrogradka at least a lineflashed
about the Spectrum and ChV-1?
But everyone goes on the subway!!!
In the Peters company, there is a computer on which something in SVGA graphics is constantly rushing into the distance, on the stand there are nondescript books about the Spectrum...
What can you call it, if not mockery of the Spectrum.
There is no point in putting them next to each other, but after all, there is a second corner and it can also be
designed attractively for spektrumists and is it really impossible to put a
Sprinter in it and on it in demo mode, as I understand Slava, there is one, launch the ChV-1
(there is no mortal yet) or is it “the daughter-in-law in revenge”?
In the Logros company, when there are no sellers, the Spectrum is also turned off, and for There's a guy standing next to the counter, looking bored. What could he not look after?
Only at Sergei Zonov, on Kazakov, everything is more or less well
(sound advertising, everything is always on and shows, AY “plays and sings”).
Unfortunately, I have not been able to visit the main office yet.
In general, gentlemen traders, it’s 1998, we could somehow think
about how to bring the goods to non-Soviet buyers and all that stuff.
For example, these dimensionless catalogs with old rubbish are terribly annoying,
even if they made selections like 1996, 1997, etc.
And if you paste in pictures, then print them out with a colored inkjet on normal
paper, there are wonderful graphics.
Sorry again that “with a pig’s snout inKalashny row"
As for network trading, here I have already rants enough, but
I will repeat about it +
1) there are no problems with Advertising and a pre-sale campaign, for example, Slava has “heated up” everyone
so he has “heated up” here that if he were selling private goods through networks, I think in 2-3 days
half of those present (i.e. more than 250 people) would have bought them;
2) everyone has one the opportunity to try a “good product”, the computer is always
at home, where the demos actually fall.
If you like it, you pay, if you don’t like it, don’t eat it (oh, S. Novikov understood this very
well, and that’s why the subscriber says it ;) )
That is, you can’t sell bullshit on networks if you sell each item SEPARATELY.
3) From the authors and traders have FEEDBACK, and to the entire audience
at once! Non-network traders cannot even dream of this.
Here, in networks, nothing can hide from meticulous statistics ;)
4) But not only the buyer here is close to the author and the trader, BUT VICE VERSE.
And bring Lyapkin-Tyapkin here - anyone here can afford to say so!
5) And finally: unprecedented efficiency (especially for those who have E-mail)
for solving any related, primarily financial, issues.
ALL! I won’t rant anymore. All these advantages are already OBVIOUS.
Therefore, those who are interested in the small market, the N-software market, go to SUBJ for further
discussions:N-Soft
> DG> I’ll now say a terrible, seditious, vulgar thing - the number of emulators
> DG> is growing, and the number of reals is falling... Moreover, the speed is already frightening. Spectrum
> DG> will serve any option. It is better, of course, if there are two of them (options
> DG> Savichev/Novikov and Malkov), since the first one, here you are right, in the case of
> DG> protected network trading, real freeloaders ;) will not benefit
> DG> (which, in fact, is what we are trying to achieve).
This all started at the suggestion of Slava. Then let me make a proposal:
protect N-products of only 3-5 categories, i.e. with the cost of a general
network license over $400.
Otherwise it’s not good to protect newspapers, “beginning magazines” and simple
toys with cool protection.
Let straight people get at least some benefit from the Novikov/Savichev project!
Sergey, if we don’t agree, we’ll have to make 2 separate LIES ;)
