Re promotion (second) of the platform and Spectrum??!

ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Walerij Kozhevnikov (500:95/462. To All 6 April 1998

Hello Vladimir! Quoting your msg of Wed 01 Apr 98 16:25 to All:

VMK> The army is loyal to its emperor! But it would be nice for him to change his wardrobe!
VMK> :)

faithful forever!

VMK> Yes! And it’s cool in itself!

You know, if you think about the evolution of different architectures in similar weight categories, then certain thoughts arise.

6502 (Apple II) -> 68020 (A1200) 19xx 2MR: ???
i8080 (Mikrosha) -> i486 (PC) 1989
Z80 (ZX,MSX) -> Z380 ? 1995

What can you say about these chips? The correspondence is _very_ approximate, the processors are too different, but still?

[the hamster gnawed]

VMK>
VMK>Everything will be our own - hardware, software, our own programmers, and our own ideas,
VMK>and not foreign ones! After all, the whole country knows how to code on the Z80, and on the 380
VMK>they will learn quickly.

in the CPU/M on MSX they have already made asm for the Z380.

[the mice ate]

VMK>I repeat: on our K555 it may not work - according to the reference book, the working
VMK>frequency
VMK>is no more than 15 MHz, and we, as I understand, we will use ok. 25-40MHz.

According to the reference book: series 1533 up to 70 MHz
1554 up to 150 MHz.

A Sprinter is actually made on US alters, for them
this is not a problem.

George is that you?
...why were you telling Walerij Kozhevnikov about Re promotion (second)
platforms and Spectrum??! ?

GS>────── Z8000 -> ─┼─

I want to note that the Z8000 does not come from the Z80. it stands on its own.

Good Luck...

... Amiga: Some kind of wonderful.

Yes, I got carried away ;)
Strange, by the way, series... And it didn’t get any development, that’s why “─┼─”
