Promotion (second) of the Spectrum platform?! Second or third?!

Just HI to you, Andrew!
At 07:58, Sunday March 22, 1998 there was such a thing that
Andrew Savichev wrote a letter All:
AS> What do the gentlemen of the spektrumists think about SUBJ?
Do you think that this is the second promotion? And remember the end of the 80s, when in Russia they tried to “promote” Spectrum using the Soviet method, creating new types of computers and modifying the hardware for them. Right now we are sitting on all kinds of Deltas, Pentagons, Leningrads, Baltics. Do you remember how groups began to multiply:
a person knew how to write a glitchy scroll, and having found a friend from the same group, they together
considered themselves ALREADY an established group (we ourselves were like that ;)).
AS> Can “Napoleon” ascend the throne for the second time after exile?
It will no longer be Napoleon, but Emperor Napoleon!
AS> In other words, is it possible and if possible, then in what ways?
It is possible, and not even possible, but necessary. As Roman Petrov wrote on this occasion, one person will not be able to cope with the load that has fallen on him, both after improving the hardware of the computer, and after increasing the capabilities of the Spectrum. Only the creation of large groups will help to survive in such a situation (it is possible that the group will even consist of people living in different
cities). Overall, I support you and the fact that you brought this topic up for discussion.
Just Bye to you, Andrew, c ul8er!

I’m not against it, but the only thing is that in order for the broad masses to take up it, which is urgently necessary for promotion, the price needs to be MUCH lower
the price of PC-based equipment. For example, the same Scorpio (board) - it costs... well, I don’t
remember .. 200 tyres like... modem - costs 20 dollars, then floppers for 40 tyre, monitor (nowadays everyone goes to monitors, they don’t even like TV anymore) color
(yes, give everyone color ones. MC6105 is not the same anymore) 140 tyre, B/P - 50 tyre (sometimes with the case at the same time). Well, there, the keyboard is 20-30 thousand. It turns out quite expensive.
But mine Look, in order to develop household computers, you just need to get good at a sprinter, let's say (I'm not voting for a sprinter or a scorpion, I'm just giving an example), equip it with a color. modulator, and in the basic configuration - a 3-inch disk flop and a 20-40 MB hard drive. In the Advanced configuration, you can
equip a 2400-9600 modem. It (the computer) must be equipped with software, namely
text editors and Norton-like shells, by the way, on ZX-based technology
you can use DomenOz for advertising (maybe be, of course, also for work, but the
version that I have is extremely buggy and has little functionality).
This still needs to be supplemented, but I lost my mind here :), guests came to me, so
complement it yourself. I talked about what I consider necessary in VolksKomputers.
