From Konstantin Samoylov To All 28 February 1998

Greetings, dear Vladimir!

What a sound! I have never heard such sound quality for SD anywhere else!!!
The whole Sound Blaster!!!

Is it possible to insert support for upper memory PROFI, SCORPION, PENTAGON....??
(to increase the buffer for instruments)
Increase the number of instruments??
Sincerely, SP/PoS/PCCC.

Having sat down at the keyboard, I decided to draw a letter for you Konstantin.

I would especially like to know what about PROFI and SCORPION because their additional pages are switched via 2 ports, but in Player this is inconvenient and may lead to a significant deterioration in sound quality. Well, Pentagon imho no problem (as it is done in ULTRA SONIC). Although I would like to hear the opinion of the author subj

If there is support for additional memory - there will be tools :)

I'm interested in the following question:
has anyone ever listened to music on COVOX with turbo+cache,
and then switched to SounDrive, or just switched without any bells and whistles,
can you tell me how much cooler it is? not counting stereo =))

Greetings to you, dear Andy!

As I know, in our city the following cars predominate (in descending order):
Companion-2 (shit, 48 Kb), Companion-1 (48/128 Kb, more or less), PROFI
v3.02, v4.02, v5.03+ (512/1024 Kb), CONCURENT (same as PROFI, but with color
CP/M), PENTAGON (48/128 KB) and a couple of SCORPION 256 KB.

KS>> Increase quantitytools??
AH> There will be support for additional memory - there will also be tools :)
As for SD: it’s the only one in the city and it’s on my PROFI, the rest are still
breaking to assemble.:-(((
Sincerely, SP/PoS/PCCC.

I have both COVOX (2 channel, STEREO) and SD (4 channel, STEREO 2 in 1)
Muz. editors for sound quality: DIGITAL STUDIO for AY, DS for COVOX,
DMM, FAST TRACKER (lots of left noise, but < than in DMM. Almost like SB - also
noise is present at high frequencies), PRODIGI (there is almost no distortion of
sound!!!)

What do you mean by setting? ;) I hope there is no delay?!! :)
It’s not a pentium 200 for you, but I have a 386sx-25 and the maximum
muse will be played at 8000khz, and you have at 44000khz, obviously there are resources, there is a
fixer, and on Speccy in MOD PLAYER (by Cobra\Enigma) without turbo it says somewhere about
19000khz, in turbo about 40000khz (with cache of course), so there’s just no point in fixing it
:)

As they say - better times redo the computer, rather than screw up
non-working programs every time ;)
after all, in principle, everyone agreed that the standard is #7ffd.

This is bad, although ours is not much better, well, in principle, whoever needs it, that will deliver

Either I misunderstood you, or do you want to say that the sound of DS for AY is better
than that of DS for Covox???????????
Perhaps you are using an old compiler, so our (*OHG*)
compiler is in the echo. Load music into it and listen, then tell me your impressions ;)

well, the one that they write Digital Reality, or we are talking about different?

Hi Konstantin!

on ATM (Turbo 2+) there is a .STM player under 512-1M. works through covox but under
CP/M... in principle you can dig around, but its start address is 256 :)

On PROFI in SR/M there is a SYNTH MASTER program so it adapts to the clock frequency of the processor, but MOD PLAYER apparently has not reached us arrived!

ProFI also has an editor (+player) .STM under CP/M on COVOX (2 channel X 7
bit), but the sound there is killer :(((
