Hello everyone,
I hope fortune has not turned its back on you ;))

Tell me how best to hook up “Profi 3+” to the monitor. "Profi" has a general synchro mixture, where should it be submitted? For vertical or horizontal synchronization?

Always yours Sergey Tsvetkov.
Good luck!

Which monitor? If you have a professional document, there are jumpers that need to be installed/removed in order to get separate
frame and horizontal sync pulses on the same video connector. I don’t have the document at hand right now, but if you can’t find it yourself, I’ll look for it.

Evgeniy.

Actually, as far as I understand, synchronization can be divided. TFM says
what needs to be done to convert the output to digital (for EGA monitors).
In this case, the synchronization becomes separate. Well, so, we need to separate the synchronization
as written, but not touch the colors.

Bye, with a pack of viciouses, Pavel Fedin.

So I’m specifically interested in, in general, whether it’s possible to get by with a synchronization
connected to some contact from the synchronizations on a VGA monitor.
And then on my Pro, the entire connector is pinned out with important signals and I don’t want
frame and line synchronization separately pull out.

Output separate sync pulses. Or install 174ХА11 (if the monitor
doesn’t have it).

Sincerely, George

The general sync mixture is usually done on LL1 (XOR element)
to which frame and line are supplied. So find them and that's it.

Connect SYNC-mix to Horizontal Sync. (It is lines)
If screen bad, connect to HS and VS.Sorry for poor english.

Impossible.
I have not yet seen VGA/SVGA monitors that would have an input for synchronization
- all that I have seen have separate Horizontal and Vertical inputs.

Of all the VGAs, perhaps only the most ancient ones will support horizontal scan 15625Hz.
The rest will go crazy (and perhaps smoke will come through hour). If you have never climbed into your
monitor and there is no documentation for it in which it would be written that the
monitor supports 15625 horizontal frequency - look for a CGA/EGA monitor.

Even this is unlikely to help. In the end, dividing the synchro mixture into KSI and SSI is not a problem; you take a K174XA11 with a harness (or a USR board from Elektron TV sets) and hook it up. But this is unlikely to save - I have never heard of successful attempts
to connect Spectrum/Radio-86/Orion to a fairly new SVGA monitor
supporting at least 800x600.

Yes, the EGA also has separate SSI and SSI inputs.

Yes, I understand this perfectly, I’m generally interested in the possibility of connecting
a common sync mixture to a VGA monitor.

Thanks, if I'll have any problems, I'll write to you.

I have never seen a VGA that would support 15625 Hz. This is more of a remake
from CGA/EGA it should be...

800x600 has nothing to do with it. My monitor, as I recently (3 hours ago) found out, almost holds
lowercase. During a reset, the image deteriorates, when changing the border, too, and so
more or less, you can watch. Monitor Compaq, 1993 (though it was repaired by me.
maybe that’s why it’s holding up)

TY> Yes, the EGA also has separate SSI and KSI inputs.
Of course. And in the CGA. And in Hercules.
