ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Oleg Bashtenko To All 29 November 1997

Hello All.

SOS! SOS! SOS!

Help me solve the problem.
A good friend of mine works as a computer science teacher at school. During perestroika times, the school was equipped with Nemiga computers produced by some Belarusian plant. The software was written specifically for this machine at some Vilnius (Kaunas) institute. The machine IMHO is on
VM 80th process. And then the problem begins - the starting floppy disk (there were 3 of them in the set) was left alone, the rest were covered (IZOT ones, however). The floppy disk seems to be protected from copying on the native machine, but ZX and PC duplicators failed to copy it. It is known for certain that there are 80 tracks, and a sector
256 bytes. The controller there is not on a VGshka, but on some kind of logic.
Who has encountered such a miracle? Help, the last floppy disk will fail and the class will die! Maybe someone has an image of the startup disk?

With the best...
Oleg AKA Olav

Urgently take this disk to the nearest Amiga with a 5.25 drive, and several copies in
X-COPY in NIBLE mode.

Good luck.

Sincerely, Alex from FFC COMPUTERS.

Have you tried Floppy Disk Analyzer 6.1?

Clear skies to you, Valera (Dragon).

IMHO you need to:
1. Try to copy such a miracle on the Amiga in X-COPY.
2. Search for information on the Internet.
3. Try to crack the defense.
4. Quit this dirty business if all else fails. ;)))

With best regards.
Andrey.
