Transfer of commercial information

ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Andrew Savichev To All 14 February 1998

Hi, All!
>
> SN> You can’t spread commercial information _soap_, but you can in an echo, because

AM> What difference does it make whether commercial information brings profit if it is transferred
AM>to everyone or to an individual? About the need for everyone and one's own enrichment - this, IMHO, is sophistry. In any case, such a thing should be. authorized.
Since when did toys, music, graphics become commercial information?
Besides, sent to all networks without any restrictions?
I unconditionally support Sergei in this!
The money is collected by networks (i.e. their subscribers): ZX-NET and FIDO. After
the author is paid the required amount, the product becomes FREE for networks.
You just need to accompany it with a document like: “it is prohibited to transfer to any
media for the purpose of obtaining commercial gain.”
And make invisible marks in its very body like “microdots”.
Detection of 5-6 bits that are not accessed (or even “ignoring
reading”) “from within” the program, even in a 30k piece (245760 bits) is unrealistic
(this needs to be estimated using combinatorics, the number of combinations is 5-6 out of 24576),
and therefore program identification, intended for use by subscribers
of the network (the number of which, and even names, are known (FIDO subscribers only
wrote here, but let's hope that every reader was at least once
a "writer" :)) - will not be difficult for the author.
The appearance of such a program among "civilized" traders is a reason
for legal proceedings (and "uncivilized" authors need simply
boycott, i.e. let them be doomed forever to robbery until they “run into trouble” )
because. the product is accompanied by a license with an agreement for use,
take anything from the Russian Vyndos and write your own by analogy.

Thus, two birds with one stone are killed with one stone: both the use of the network is
non-commercial (since the network itself is the buyer and distributes
products to all its subscribers without restrictions), and the path to the non-network
world for products is legally closed!
With Sergei Novikov we We fundamentally disagree on only one thing:
I want people themselves to decide what to buy, i.e. what the Spectrum network (SpectrumNetWorld) should buy on their behalf.
If he introduces a “barrier”, say 99 votes, reduces the amount of “extortions” and
cancels “draconian measures” against non-payers (only those who vote “for” pay for each
product and if the person paid althoughif it were $5 for a year and voted 5 times, the voting price is $1) - then I will support him!
Products are divided by price into 5 categories:
( $ 99 - $ 199, any newspapers and released bourgeois toys, demos
$200 - $ 399, some newspapers, designer toys and magazines, system software
$400 - $ 599, then the same (except for newspapers), better quality and higher demand
$600 -$ 799, “super” - category for non-greedy and kind (well-fed) authors
$800 -$1000 the same, for “greedy” or “hungry” authors ;)
Please do not be offended by the authors :)
More expensive things are simply not available for purchase by the network, because to collect such amounts of money, IMHO, is simply unrealistic with 500-700 people. )

and to purchase, collect the required number of money (votes).
The “votes” are collected by the person who votes first (and for category 5 products, he
must vote at least $5). Then he forwards the list to the author or a “network trader” appointed by the author (which can be any of you at the author’s place of residence, if he trusts you). The author and the trader sort things out between themselves about the money, which the network doesn’t notice, and then the author with the license throws the program into zx.spectrum (and from there it spreads further). If someone didn’t receive individual pieces, they get extra money from anyone who got it all right.
"Votes can be bought with money" andif someone individually (or a small group)
decides to benefit the entire SpectrumNetWorld, then this is not forbidden :)
Just as the author at any time can make a thing simply frivolous or
“frivolous for the network” :)

With respect, Andrey Savichev/CGS
