Hi, All!
The letter I received from Sergei Novikov leaves NO hope that
our positions can get closer, so I urge all my
supporters: N-traders, N-authors and N-users to inform me of their desire to
participate in my project.
Send letters mas...@satan.spb.su, to my fido-equivalent, who remembers
or to Evgeniy’s fido-equivalent (he will forward it to me).
I will briefly recall the main points of my project (C) SpectrumN-soft.
1) Authors are ranked according to the quality of their last one, sold
as of 03/1/98 not in networks, work (as options: place occupied
by the last job in the list of the best-selling software in any large
city with a population of more than 1 million people and the number of spektrumists is at least
50 people;
full fee for the work of at least $200)
Only 3 categories:
Extra 1-3 places in the list of the best-selling software for
at least 3 months from the start of sales or at least
$1000 proceeds from the sale of the author's latest work;
First class Youthey were simply in the top ten best-selling software for
at least 3 months from the start of sales or at least
$ 200 proceeds from the sale of the last author
work;
Others If you, as an author or group, have not yet declared anything about
yourself - my project is for you! This does not mean that you should
immediately hope to receive money. Show everyone your demo
or FREE in the type of N-products in which you have decided
to specialize in our “small market”.
In the future, the authors will move in the “table of ranks” depending on
the quality and success of their latest N-product.

2) What applies to N-products and how they differ from FREEWARE, SHAREWARE and
C-WARE (commercial)
N-products are:
a) system software, both resident (running only on a natural
Spectrum and under an emulator), and instrumental (executing
on an IBM PC, but the output of which produces data or code suitable
for use on a natural Spectrum and on an emulator);
b) gaming software (only running on the natural Spectrum and on
emulator), author's and release;
c) music demonstrations (what is included in the demo-compo category);
d) applied software for the Spectrum and emulator;
e) selections of graphics for the standard Spectrum screen;
f) music (for any devices and programs that reproduce it);
g) electronic publications, with and without Applications (only for standard
Spectrum screens, including texts in HTML-Z)
h) books, reference books and collections of author's articles about Spectrum, similar
to point g)
All products are subject to exclusive copyright (C).
Secondary distribution on any networks, through BBS and other channels, can
be carried out only if the integrity of the digital
data block is preserved, including the copyright license, without deriving commercial benefit.
The author reserves the right to transfer the N-version to any other category,
to any moment.
It is not allowed to use any parts of the N-product without the consent of the author in
any products! (including FREEWARE)
Quoting is allowed, but not codes, programs, algorithms, music and elements
graphics!!!
N-products of categories 3-5 MUST be equipped with special protections,
all N-products MUST be marked in one way or another hidden way
(“digital signature”)
Unlike SHAREWARE, authors FIRST receive remuneration for your work
and onlythen their product becomes free, i.e. this is SHAREWARE
on the contrary.
In order not to create unnecessary competition in the “big market” and to leave
space in it for their own product, great authors of serious
projects take measures to protect N-products from hacking and copying.
For this reason, products of categories 3-5 are more logical to be called commercial
products; they are distributed over networks, but for installation on specific
hardware.
3) Categories N-products
Depending on the class of the author and the type of N-product, it is assigned one
of five possible categories.
Categories set a range for the price set by the author and determine
the need to install special protection for the digital block.
1 cat. $ 99 - $ 199 any N-products from any authors, limit for releases,
music.dem, selections of graphics and music
Cat. 2. $200 - $399 limit for any electronic newspapers and for authors not 1st and not
extra class (except for books and references)
3rd category. $400 -$ 599 N-products only from authors of 1st and extra class
(except books and references), limit for any journals and
applied. software
4 cat. $600 -$799 N-products only from top-class authors, limit
for system software, books andreference books and for
1st grade authors
5th cat. $800 -$1000 Only top-class authors and only with super-games
4) How to become an N-trader?
If you are a trader known in your region to the Spectrum community,
then just write to me about your desire. In the absence of other candidates
from this region and objections from 1st and extra class authors from
your region, as well as if you have an IBM PC+ computer. Spectrum,
with AY/SD/GS, modem and FIDO address (and preferably E-mail) you automatically
become one.
If there are several candidates and if at least 1-2 N-authors and 20 N-users agree to work with this trader
and if he has the above
technical means, there are also excellent chances of approval
of the candidacy.
All N-traders jointly develop the N-Trader Code, and the N-authors adopt
a similar document for themselves.
After this, the Name of the Association is approved, its Charter is developed (for
registration with the authorities),
the Head is selected (the headquarters is located at his place of residence)
and annual membership fees are collected from all N-users in the amount of 30 rubles. new.
This money is used to register the Association in the territorial
authorities of the location of the headquarters, rentmodest
area within 1/5 of the collected funds, but not less than 400 rubles/month
(for capitals) and not less than 300 rubles/month for other large cities and the work of the accountant (reports) is paid

A network bank SpectrumNetBank is being created (in the future), in which
N-traders will be shareholders and a system of confidential network communication.
At first, money transfers between regions are carried out ONLY
through the headquarters, where there is an accountant and which has the status of a legal
entity, so it is desirable that at first each N-trader
strictly maintains a balance between purchases and sales of N-products.
(So as not to “feed” the mail and “other people’s” banks)
In their own way If desired (YET!), an N-trader can maintain the personal accounts of his clients,
but he MUST repay the debt based on the results of the quarter to
THE ASSOCIATION, if the number of sales he has is less than the number of purchases
(i.e., send money through the headquarters to other regions, where

5) How to become an N-author?
This is as easy as shelling pears, for this you need to create an N-product and contact the

the headquarters or a regional N-trader.
In the future, if cooperation with the Association seems interesting to you,
I think there will be no more problems.
If there is no N-trader in your region, do not be upset, all financial settlements
with you, as well as issues related to your product, will be taken over by the
N-trader of the region where the headquarters is located Associations.
6) How to become an N-user?
This is a little more complicated. Look for like-minded people in your region.
The headquarters will deal only with an organized group of at least
20 people who have paid annual membership fees in the amount of 20x30=600 rubles.

Personally, it seems to me that such (a similar) project should be designed primarily for traders, and not for users. After all, I think no one will argue that a person (trader) trading on the market has contact with a much larger number of people who actually buy software. After all, not so many users can be found on the web who are really only interested in new things and are able to REALLY pay for the program. Although, if you look from the other side, there are also not an infinite number of traders, so I can see 2 options:
1) They throw out a complete list of programs ready for distribution (full
versions), you need to support the list with demo versions and wait for offers. Let's say
after 2 weeks of the week. The offers for each product are counted, then the author's price is divided by the number of offers (the more traders are interested in a particular program, the cheaper it will cost them:). Well, finally, an invoice for the program is sent to each interested trader :) well, in theory, if the price suits him, he writes a response saying that I’m buying. The real drawback is that
some traders will definitely disagree with the price and the program remains un
sold. Then I suggest this way out - sellers ready to buyproduct
contact the author and negotiate personally (I think they will agree ;). But this is an unprofitable move for the authors.
2) Everything is the same as in 1, only if several traders are interested (the authors, for example, can set a minimum price barrier, if not reached, they are not bothered) this group of traders is offered to the authors. Well, they are free to decide whether to give them the program for that price or not. The advantage of this method (it seems to me) is that the authors will get here
a little more than in the first case, or maybe not :)))
Well, it’s natural that the sold program is not removed from auction after the first
