Hi All!
Although Kozma Prutkov, who I deeply respect, used to say:
“if you have a fountain, shut it up...”, I console myself with the thoughts that
the world of Spectrum is still different from the world of IBMPC and that there is no need
to clamp yourself under the hoops of ridiculous conventions...
I don’t know who and when coined the term “ZX scene”, but this expression has many meanings, if you remember “the whole world is a theater...” In a narrower
sense, a stage is a stage (actors), therefore it presupposes a hall (spectator)
(and few theaters and in a few productions took the risk of transferring
the stage into the hall in order to establish closer contact with the audience).
What kind of “ZX stage” I personally have not yet decided for myself, probably like many
Spectrum users, for whom in the not so distant in the past, all communication
was limited to the scenery of the radio market, a store or one’s own
apartment (the apartment of acquaintances), where the native computer was turned on.
The present time is a turning point. Computersconfidently and forever enter the lives of a huge number of people and become an integral part of universal human culture, and not everyone has realized this fact ;-) Many people think that a computer is just a tool for work or just a tool for entertainment and leisure or (lately) a means of communication - of course it is the first and second and third, BUT and something much more... What exactly? if this is interesting to someone, think about it...
Now, actually, thoughts on the matter, thoughts if anyone wants ;-)
I read with great interest REVIVAL and ZXNEWS - there are a lot of interesting things, but
immediately a question for the publishers of REVIVAL, what parts b and c cannot be loaded programmatically? Well, and the interface, of course... though, like a teapot, I may not quite get the hang of it, but IMHO you still have a lot of numbers ahead of you (pah-pah, so as not to jinx it). But all the same, thank you SO MUCH, without you "...the field of life would have died out..." And another question... if the "layout" of the numbers is done on an IBMPC, is it possible
to send out a version for DOS? (although, of course, the information needs to be protected somehow,
but maybe still). In these publications, the HARDWARE section is not presented at all,
although the publishers, of course, know better what is interesting to their readers (if there is feedback, of course), but for me, as a hardware worker, it’s trivial :-(.
There is a lot of information about the upcoming Enlight'97, but there is no information for the uninitiated - maybe caringabout having fewer people visit? (“fewer people, more
oxygen” ;-) ) about the holiday program and what it is in general, although for
an inquisitive user’s mind the problem is solvable (“read between the lines” and “come
and look”)
And lastly, if you have e-mail addresses, do not hide them! :-)
There is another crazy idea: to arrange a “census” of the Spectrum population
and organize “Free Societies of Spectrumists”, so that not only professionals have a place to communicate
with each other, so that people can accumulate their finances at will (strictly voluntarily) to support certain projects,
well, and anything else good and necessary that they themselves want :-)
With this, I’ll take the advice of the classic and take my leave.
All the best and happiness to you! Savichev Andrey V. -mas...@satan.spb.su
