From Wladimir Bulchukey → To All 8 February 1998
Hello!
The other day Nikolai Zabrodotsky and Andrey Khristov were talking
on the topic:
NZ>> And Misix is not UNIX for the Ministry of Agriculture?
AK> No. It's just an OS, more different than MSXDOS.
AK> If I find a URL, I'll give you a look.
MISIX is an analogue of MS DOS on MSX, with its ideology (BIOS+kernel,
drivers, command processor and shell) and modern
features: support for subdirectories, including on HDD,
user menu via F2, batch files with transitions according to
conditions, cycles; support for Errorlevel variables; etc.;
Norton-like “Visual Shell” with the same capabilities
and the same controls. But: any newest version of the system
is distributive! In my opinion, only 3.0 and lower are available.
If necessary, I can give the distributor’s coordinates.
With respect -
Vladimir.
