The power of the Sprinter...was (small XO)

It cannot be a _clone_ by definition... A Sprinter is a Sprinter! :)
> MR> About power, I would say that this power is no more than 286th.
>Not direct power, but by analogy.
If you are talking about the performance of the processor, then 20 MHz z80 is 5 mips on fast operations
and about 0.9 mips on slow ones, although this is if you stupidly calculate it by clock frequency, you need look at the advertisement, I’ll look and clarify, but it’s easier, of course, for Ivan
to correct me.
The 486 SX - 33 has an “average performance” according to Intel of about 16 mips.
So it would still be more appropriate to have the option (at best) “like 386 SX - 33”
but more likely, of course, “like 286 - 20” (if you were to write software for it exclusively
in its assembler, which in reality, of course, has never been done, therefore
the true version is located somewhere between 286-20 and 386 SX - 33).
Of course, nowhere do encoders work as efficiently as here on the Spectrum,
but on the other hand, we turn a blind eye to the “pipeline” and to the cache, and to 32r.
Therefore, no matter how it is Unfortunately, from high-resolution modes due
to their sluggishness (when drawing complex dynamic graphics, i.e. where
the work of the z84c15 and not the PLM begins), the creators of the Sprinter in the near future
will have toREFUSE, or they will have to dry a lot of “tears of users with their
vest” ;)
This is in the best case scenario, and in the worst case, they may start “breaking glass in the office” :(
If Peters in the near future removes the “brakes” in the form of graphical modes with
maximum resolution from his wonderful (this is without any irony)
super-Spectrum, then everything will be OK! And they will be guaranteed a gold medal from Spectrum users.
There is, of course, another option - to make your own processor based on logic or (which
is much simpler, but also more expensive for buyers) to emulate a z80 on a 16/32 ruble
ARM processor (which, according to experts, “puts the stump-200 in the belt” ).
Emulation, of course, will “gobble up” up to 80% of its performance, but still, as a result, we will have a 40-60 mips z80 processor, for which Sprinter’s advanced
graphics will be a “trivial task”.
ZX-Windows will become a reality!
With its help, Spectrum will finally break into schools, boarding schools and disabled children (a this, as you might guess, is hundreds of thousands of new users!!!)
And this will truly be the Spectrum of the 21st century!
With respect, Andrey Savichev / CGS

Sorry for the cynicism, but why do we need disabled users?

That’s approximately the case. Plus the power of the accelerator. It’s generally
difficult to say how to calculate it.

So, usually, someone takes care of them and, accordingly, pays for their
use. In general, it’s never too late or early to think about the soul...

Man, you are of course incredibly cool if you can say such things... But!
First figure it out, and only then open your mouth...
I meant that the Spectrum was for them can't give anything. I am not a cynic, and to people with
disadvantages, skin color and nationality(different) I treat it calmly.
Next time you say this, think about it!
If you offended someone - sorry...
