Magic Files ?

From Pavel Fedin → To All 28 July 1997
hello, Vlad Ipatov! I remember that on 26 Jul 95 you took it and launched
in All with this:
VI> I read about them in the FAQ and made a reset to a floppy disk. There were 5
VI> files *.C
VI> What to do with them next to use the program?
These files contain:
"@"CODE - a complete copy of 48 KB of memory at the moment the button is pressed;
"@8"CODE - the area of temporary system variables, of which only 1 byte is actually
required - the code of the active page at the moment the button is pressed
"@n"CODE - copies of pages numbered n
This can be started with the GOTO "@"CODE command. In this case, execution
will continue from the point where the button was pressed. Only
the button maintenance program contains a good bunch of bugs and shortcomings,
due to which the program actually starts only in 30% of cases.
If you want to rename files, you do it according to the following principle:
rename the file "@"CODE as you want, then the rest of the files
rename so that the "@" bvlo is replaced with a new name, but the number remains. And
more. If the first character of the file name is $, then when the program starts
the IM 2 mode will be enabled, otherwise - IM 1.
bye, with all the best wishes, Pavel Fedin.
