Sorry for my short memory, I don’t remember the name...
I have a suggestion: make your emulator support a custom keyboard layout.
In addition, load from the tape via a blaster. Output to the tape is also via a
blaster. This will make it more convenient.
And Also, the most important thing (for me, at least) is to make it work on EGA in low resolution modes, as well as in VGA mode 13h.

If this is for me :), then:

layout support is already there,
working with a tape recorder is in the plans,
it’s unlikely to work on EGA, but on VGA 13h it already works (frequencies 48-60Hz).
