What is the doubt? And what do you call a penny?
I’ll repeat it again! Commercial software distributed on floppy disks is inedible for
virtuals! It's "breaking your teeth" about it.
Will you order us to be content with demo versions, old toys and FREE software?
The practice of selling programs over the network is widespread, get into the echoes of the Internet
and see for yourself!
Now about prices... and network protection technology. I won’t buy a copy from you at
the price of a distributor for personal consumption.
And I won’t give it away. You won’t be able to connect an unprotected commercial program to the network.
What is the solution?
On emulators there must be a certain bit, by polling which the program must understand
that it is running on the emulator. After this, it must poll the configuration
of the computer and “bind to it”. But it also needs to be equipped with a password.
The author can send the password when receiving “binding data”. That’s all, after this
program can only work on this computer.
It is better to send the newsletter “in one gulp”. To do this, publish an advertisement in which
you indicate yourbank account and the deadline by which
the money must be sent. We send you the money and the documents on which they were sent.
When the money arrives, you throw in the programs, and after receiving the binding data, passwords.
And each program must have its own binding code generators in order to personalize the versions as much as possible.
For example: on November 1 you give an announcement and set the deadline until November 10 sending
money. Money goes in different ways, but by 20 everything comes. After 20 you scatter
programs and by 30 the company is completed. Then you take a break for 5 days so that everything “settles down” and repeat the process again.
And so people ask me for CVs from Ukraine and Moldova (since I’m from St. Petersburg),
sending them floppy disks is stupid, again I become an intermediary, but why do the authors need this?
But when a cool commercial product appears. program in Moldova, the people of St. Petersburg will already begin to "get up to speed." The network provides: 1) prompt delivery to your home; 2) author's support.
And the author gets rid of 1) intermediaries; 2) pirates.
I'm tired of explaining all this, as well as sending articles that,
for unknown reasons, no one sees (and I myself don't see them in the echo :( ).
This will never happen in relcom.comp.speccy!
Have a good hunt everyone!Andrey AKA m@s/CENSUS
