Hello Kirill! Quoting your msg of Fri 30 Jan 98 00:00 to Alex Letaev:

KF> Shmali stoned? Have you seen isdos on a real Spectrum, and not
KF> in the emulator? This is a terrible brake to say the least. And the prog for it,

Nonsense. I sit in isdos all the time, and I think like this:
- the brakes can be cured either by rewriting the FDD driver, or with a screw.
- and with the screw the isdos works 10-15 times faster.
I’m sitting in it now, and I have two devices hanging on C and D, 16
meters each. Well, and a ramdisk for 448 blocks.

KF> have you seen the ones you described? Using them is dangerous for life!

It is dangerous for life to use an unconfigured system. But
if you figure it out and set it up, it’s an indescribable pleasure. Everything
quickly, clearly and withoutglitches. Write at least one program for it, understand the essence of the system, and then speak.

PS:
A friend of mine tried to create
ram_disk with drive A 3 times in a row, and kept wondering why the ramdisk was not
created, and then the floppy disk showed error 87 (no device) ;)))))
And then he yelled: “buggy isdos!”

Like a teapot in Norton: “why do I need two C drives? I’ll format the right one, and leave the left one!”

Jason.

...The one who pays the least is the most indignant.
