Is-dos
ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»
From Aleksey Kosenko → To All 26 November 1997
Hello All!
How to convert Is-dos from fdi to trd format?
There is a converter.
What parameters are needed?
And how to create trd floppy disks to write Is-DOS on them?
See you soon, All

Think about it, TRD is 640 kb 80 tracks 2 sides 16 sectors, and FDI is arbitrary,
though 255 tracks per 100 sectors, so FDI can only be used for now on
UKV-Debugger!

No way! TRD is a disk image of TR-DOS format (2x80x16x256) and nothing more.
And in IS-DOS sectors of a different size.
Sincerely

IMHO, no way - the disk format is completely different, I think that
in TRD there is no way to make an 800K disk with 1K sectors.
What do you think?
With best wishes,
Vadim

Yes, trd doesn’t have any sectors at all - just a packet of bytes.
But the software that uses it - yes...
2Mr. Shalaev: Can you do that?
enter a small entry about the addressing method on the disk?
All you need to do is get the offset in the
image using the head/sector/track number...
And then only the lazy will not make a sector-by-sector copy of the ISDOS disk...
With best wishes - Andrey Khristov (ha...@robin.alt.ru)

Nikolay is not reading the echoes now. You can contact him by e-mail: ns...@usa.net
Or continue to write to /378.40 - I will redirect it to e-mail via
gate 5020/128.

That's it... John Stunner said that he and Max Petrov in their
Spek emulator (for the Amiga) completely outdid .trd and .fdi combined - they introduced
into the disk image format information about the state of CRC sectors and the presence of floating
bits/physical damage(!). It couldn't be cooler :)))
ps2ALL: what is the .FDD image format for the MOA emulator?

But they (the disk) can read it (the disk) at a much lower level than on a PC :-(

^^^^^ ???????
Good luck

RA says - it has its own format. And MOA seems to have a converter .FDD<->ANADISK
With warm greetings, Slava!

cool one header takes 41010 bytes ;-)
Good luck

wait .... ;-)
I already launched IS-DOS, only R/O ;-)
I found as many as 3 SLT files, checked, it works 8-)
IMHO in X128v08 there is a glitch with SLT, it seems like it will load about 15~20
levels, and then it will say an error
downloaded the doc via SLT, who needs it?
VM> zyzy\ standard question from a fidoshnik - “are you receiving my soap”?
I received it, and answered:-(
I’ll resend it now answer.
Good luck

Hello Andrew.
It’s a great honor for me to talk with such a great programmer like you!
Well, the ceremonies are over, let’s get down to business.
We need the source code of the subject, if you don’t mind.
It’s possible along with the subject.

Have they already made a Spec emulator for the Amiga (in the sense of 128K+AY+TR-DOS and other
bells and whistles)?
If so, where can I get it?

Less. For a standard floppy disk 2*80 39436 bytes :) And if the floppy disk is
“underformatted”, then even less. But this is justified, since it allows
to store different sectors on one track and format this one track along
the process.
This is a “cut down” format of a “full” copy of the disk, which stored the entire track
(with all the markers and spaces, about 8K per track), but it turned out that
it works 10 times slower, I had to cut it down and look for something like this here's a
compromise...

You can buy Stunner from John, though when he finishes it ;)

VM> What is it and what do you eat it with?
it's a .Z80, for toys with loading levels from tape.
#ed #fb is placed at the loading location, and the emulator should
at the address in HL load the level in A.
there are other jokes, but I only see 5-10 of these live ones
only one format descriptions.
they load Z80 v3.04+
X128 v04+
Spectrum128 3.03+ Uniload (by Ya)
p.s. damn, it’s 16 degrees in the apartment, my hands are freezing (it’s 29 outside) .......
Good luck
Sergey.
