ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Alexey Ivanov To All 15 June 1997

Hello All!

Since there is stubbornly no response from Arno, whose FIDO addresses are “loose”, I, using my “official” position, publish an open letter to him. Can
at least someone answer this!!?

Greetings to the editors of the newspaper ZXNEWS!

In the 31st issue of your publication I found a small article about
Enlight97, which talks about unverified rumors, and also
announces a large article about this party. Since you now
have your own e-mail, I decided to write to you a little on
this topic: to give some information, ask some questions...

So, as you wrote, according to unverified rumors from abroad, people from Slovakia and Lithuania will come to
Enlight97... From personal conversations via the Internet (IRC), I realized that the following people are going to go to E97 people:

- Dron of K3L from the Czech Republic said that members of his group want
to come to E97 with their demo. Also, just Spectrum fans (Matsoft, etc.) are going to go with them for company

- Jordan of REACTION/RUSH from Poland also said that they will soon write a demo on Enlight97 and, accordingly, are going to visit this compo.

- Busy Soft from Slovakia is also not averse to going to E97, but is still thinking, because I don’t want to go that far alone. If someone else
comes from Bratislava, then no problem! INIn connection with this, I
want to appeal to all people who have access to the Internet and
who wants to see Busy on E97 - write him a couple of lines so that
he comes, otherwise I won’t be able to persuade him alone :-) Here is his address: bu...@elf.stuba.sk

- I don’t know, how about Lithuania, and as for Estonia, we have long
been planning to come to E97 with our work.

Naturally, these are not all the people who want to attend this grand party, despite the fact that they live in another country. But the lack of accurate information makes them think: is it worth leaving when nothing is known yet? For example, soon it will be necessary to issue travel documents (this takes at least a month), but the exact date is not yet known. Any visitor is very
concerned about organizational issues such as where to spend the night, etc.
I hope that in the future this side will be sufficiently covered.
In short, we need more information about the E97! I heard that hacker Cris
took up writing the Intro Invitation. As soon as the intro is ready, please send it to my e-mail so that I can distribute it among Czech, Slovak and Polish Spectrum fans.
I hope this will help them make up their minds and decide whether it’s worth going or not.

That’s all I wanted to tell you about here. Sorry for the clumsy style
of the letter - I wrote it laterat night (at the height of the session). I'm looking forward
to the new issue of ZX NEWS and the article about Enlight97.

Sincerely, ZOOL00K of PHT (Estonia)

P.S. I hope my message will reach the organizers of E97, because
everything is in their hands, everyone depends on them...
