>>> AW has everything we could come up with. So that's enough.
AS> ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
AS>> Don't say that... there are no limits to human needs...
AS> ^^^^^^^^^^^^
SN>> What _managed_ to come up with, not what _is possible_ to come up with ;)
AS> ^^^^^^^^^
AS> You want to say that we managed realize from what was invented? ;) at this
AS> moment, with existing capabilities. People's capabilities are always severely
AS> limited by their money (free time, abilities) :)
No one even discussed what was impossible to realize. :)
AS>> but of course it’s not worth repeating 1:1, it’s just a shame of course that there are 20
AS>> commands (if your forecast is correct)
SN>> ;) This is true, by the way.
AS> And I’m already inclined to take all the numbers _from you_ as _reliable data_.
I said that if you start making an editor now, you’ll finish making it
when there are tons of them darkening. All sedactors currently preparing have already taken a very
very long time.
AS>> spend effort on achievingapproximately the same level of implementation... and
AS>> so little strength, and even scattered, abysmal! :(
SN>> The levels of implementation will be different, and competition from the user’s point of view is
SN>> a good thing.
AS> Yeah...convince me of the advantages of the “Russian premature market” :)
AS> And who to compete for? For 1.5-2.5 thousand spektrumists?
So these 2 thousand users (although there will be more of them) need a good
editor, and not what some are doing now. First of all, you need ease of use, which I haven’t noticed yet (except for AW)...
AS> Yes, by and large, users don’t need it, only
AS> software/demo/intro/remakers,
That’s the majority. There are only a few gamers left.
AS> IMHO. And today there are, again IMHO, several dozen
AS> (acting in plain sight).
There are a lot of people who constantly have to draw something: either a picture
restored, then a logo drawn, then a modified converted screen...
AS> and “not underground”, like CGS ;).
CGS? I don’t remember something like that 8|
AS> Let’s add another hundred in reserve and we’ll get only about two hundred
AS> people who will draw something else today (tomorrow), I don’t say
AS> “the day after tomorrow” ;) We must proceed from real needs.
So everything else, except for graphic editors, is already in abundance. And Art
Studio, howyou know, this year he will turn 13 years old.
AS>> And this situation is not only with graphic editors.
AS>> At least discuss these issues in an echo to all interested parties
AS>> exchange ideas, otherwise everyone is “stewed in their own juice.”
SN>> Competition. What exchange of skills is there?! Everyone is trying to get there early,
SN>> to hide the most original features of their editor from competitors.
AS> About competition, see above.
AS> Not skills, but ideas.
AS> Most, in fact, “write to the table”...
That’s why I don’t understand why Brain Wave should write its own editor without looking at
others.
AS> just look at what you actually use from what you have
AS> software. Or do you want to treat them like games...played -
AS> put aside for the collection? Then of course yes... more
AS> good and different editors :) Alas, the tools should only
AS> be improved and improved...everyone who uses them needs the best ones and with
AS> greater capabilities, so tool developers should
AS> cooperate - Spectrum will win.
Don't forget - almost all programs come out in multiple versions. Just remember
STS... At first, these possibilities will be enough. And then you can upgrade.
AS>> Probably here FAQs are no longer enough, but we need to createcoordinating
AS>> sections in various areas of system software development and
AS>> helping each other - IMHO everyone will benefit!
SN>> Difficult and inefficient. The authors, if they want, will agree among themselves
SN>>...
AS> They sometimes do not even assume the true state of affairs. So you
AS> periodically ask, who released (hereinafter the list of games) in the echo, and
AS> not in the soap :).
:)) Completely different things. Games are released by many groups from different cities and even
countries. We will press weekly. You can't keep track of everyone. The new graphic editor is an event. A notable event.
AS> But for a software maker, especially one developing instrumental
AS> software, it is even more difficult to navigate and it is more offensive to waste time
AS> on
AS> something that someone has already done before him (at least because of the larger amount of work).
AS> And during collective discussions, sometimes good
AS> ideas are really born, otherwise why would echoes be invented? :)
And what can soft makers agree on? What options can I insert into my
editors? Who should abandon theirs, and who will continue the business? Dead number.
With God's blessing, Sergei Novikov AKA Spirit/STEP

I think exactly the same thing, in fact, maybe this is not so relevant for groups,
but I write everything alone and no one helps me, and this is extremely difficult,
actually there are a lot of ideas, but there is not enough time, and sometimes there is not enough time. I don't feel sorry for my ideas and developments, I will be happy to share them.
It has been rightly noted that everyone is trying to hide their plans and ideas from competitors, but why, for whom are we writing in this case? We think about our “coolness” and hide it until release, and as a result, another “cool” program that no one needs is released. I remember Inforcom once wrote that you shouldn’t press
release the full version of the program, so as not to get frustrated and throw all your work
into the trash.
And therefore, let’s share experiences and ideas.
With respect, Pheskov Kuzma.
