Hello Fedin!
31 Aug 95, Fedin Pavel writes to Andrew MOA:
FP> It would be nice if
FP> someone provided similar information on ATM ports.
On the first ATM, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to say anything
in detail. A brochure with a description was released for Turbo 2+, maybe there are still some left in MikroArt (look in Mitino, place N4). There is a working description of the ports (it is
complete, but very incomprehensible):
------------------------------------------
Ports:
1.SYS_CS - 77h (byte) WITH TR-DOS ON
D0 - RG0
D1 - RG1
D2 - RG2
D3 - TURBO (1 - 7 MHz)
D4 - TON
D5 - TNAB
D6 - AD/KEY (0 - IBM PC XT KEYBOARD, 1 - ADC)
D7 - NMI reset (0 - active)
A8 - PEN (0 - DISABLE PAGE (PROGRAMMING MODE),1 - ENABLE PAGE)
A9 - DOS_ON (0 - SET TR-DOS ON & ENABLE PORTS SYS & PAGE)
A14 - PEN2 (0 - ENABLE CS FOR DSK_RAM & PAL_CS,1 - DISABLE)
Mode RG2&RG1&RG0
Sinclear 3
640x200 2
320x200 0
Text 6
2.PAGE_CS - F7h (BYTE) WITH TR-DOS ON
PAGE RAM INPUTS :
A0 - A14
A1 - A15
A2 - ROM2
A4 - ???
PAGE RAM OUTPUS :
D0 - RAM&ROM PAGE 0
D1 - RAM&ROM PAGE 1
D2 - RAM&ROM PAGE 2
D3 - RAM&ROM PAGE 3
D4 - RAM&ROM PAGE 4
D5 - ROM (1 - ENABLE ROM)
D6 - RAM (0 - ENABLE RAM)
D7 - MX_A (0 - ENABLE PAGE_NUM (0-2)FROM S128 PAGE_PORT (7FFDH)
3.ADC/KEYBOARD DATA PORT - 7D7Dh
4.MISC CONTROL READ PORT - 7FFDh
D7 - ADC/KEY READY (HIGH)
D6 - HARD INT (HIGH)
D5 - TELEPHONE LINE IS UP (HIGH)
D4 - BELL ON TELEPHONE LINE (HIGH)
------------------------------------------------------------
Or you can delve into the BIOS sources (it would be more accurate to call it a monitor)
from Turbo 2+ (look for /378, I uploaded it there once)
FP> And one more thing. I still

FP> information. Without this, I won't be able to write a good OS.
It's there. A lot of information, and all different :( An experimental working version
is in the above-mentioned BIOS.
There are also different descriptions of the interface, a total of 7 different sources ranging in size from
11k to 383k (cover IDE, ATA1, ATA2, ATA3) and correspondence regarding ATA on
1m.
BBS and no freqs :(

Hello, Fedin!
Sun 20:45 26 Mar 1995 Fedin Pavel writes to Michael Markowsky:
FP> Thanks for your help. I just wish I could be more specific.
FP> What does all this mean?
FP> What is CPUSYS? And what are those CP/M ports you mentioned? Where
FP> HDD and serial port?
I have no idea. I've never had ATM. And this information is from letters in this
echo.
FP> Best wishes, Fedin Pavel!

Maybe you can give me a hint? Otherwise I can’t really work with the screw. There is
a small description, but it’s terribly poor. :-(

MM>> A7(1) - CPSYS ON ┬ RAM and ROM allocation in CP/M mode

FP> What is CPUSYS?
A signal that disables the Spectrum ROM from window 0 and connects the page with Bios.
FP> And what are the CP/M ports that you mentioned?
We were talking about the 1st ATM, and accordingly its ports.
FP> Where is the HDD and serial port?
And the HDD is only in Turbo2+. As for the serial port - it is on
the board, but in Rf2 for 8031 there is not even a hint of its software support.
In the next letter I will give a short description. Everything that is mentioned there applies
only to the Turbo2+ v7.0-7.10 computer

CPSYS signal that determines the location of RAM and ROM in the address. space
processor.
CPUS-user signal, used when working in CP/M, allows
to install in addresses 0-16384 or BIOS ROM or 4th page of RAM, optional.

When outputting data to the printer via CENTRONICS, they are simultaneously written
to the 572PA1 DAC (if present on the board), i.e. The so-called
kovox has been implemented, you can listen to digitized music (for the SR/M mode there is even a player of STM files, for the ZX Spectrum mode there were also demos, it seems from Flash Inc.)

setting colors, as a result in Spectrum mode you get interesting

there is enough information in principle, IMHO, there are more problems with the operating system and file
structure (more precisely, without the operating system)...
