So it is. Don't believe it if they say that they don't make anything new for spec hardware anymore. They do it here ;) Here are a few developments by
two of my friends.
1. Super Spectrum. Any Spectrum model can be equipped with additional hardware and additional memory is installed on a 30-pin SIMM (1- or 4-megagram or 256-kb, with or without regeneration). The memory is automatically
located whenever you access the extended memory ports Profi (1MB),
ATM-1 (512kb), Scorpio (256kb) or 6.7 bits of port #7FFD+port Profi (512kb/1mb).
The circuit is commercial (although there is nothing complicated there, 20 mikrukh). Publication under
question.
2. PC keyboard(XT). The circuit on a single-chip is mounted in parallel with a standard keyboard and it is possible to work simultaneously on both. Doesn't slow down the computer, uses only the pins of a standard keyboard andstrobe(KEY_RD).
3. Text screen 25 lines 80 characters per line. It's almost done, but there are
several options, there is no final one yet. Again, for any spec. Output to
the screen occurs when _writing to ROM_ from address zero -
2kb symbols + 2kb attributes.
The circuit only allows writing to the screen, so it is necessary to store
a buffer image of the screen in RAM. The border of the spectrum is completely preserved at the top and bottom, and on the sides there is a border indentation of 2 familiar places. The circuit is made on 531GG1+555KP15+something else.
The most important thing is that the authors of the circuit are not against publishing it after final
revision!
4. PC keyboard (AT) + PC mouse. Under development. An AT keyboard and PC mouse will be used. Single-chip connection. The mouse will emulate a Kempston mouse. Those. programs with support for the Kempston mouse will
work without suspecting that the PC mouse is in the user's hand.
This is briefly about what's new....

... and you are all about emulators and about emulators.

Economically not profitable :(
Good luck George

What does this have to do with it? If I make a program, then in theory I don’t care what its appearance will be, and I’ll make it the way people want.

Boom wait... Don’t forget there, if anything happens. I think this is of interest to many.

Why reinvent the wheel? because it already exists....

There was also a smiley there.

IMHO 128 Spectrum without an on-screen BASIC editor is no longer a Sinclair. But
that's not the point. I don’t quite understand, at the current stage of development of “sinkler engineering”, why an OS in a ROM is better than a bootable OS. And why should the BIOS be
in ROM? I proceed from the fact that if possible there is no need to go into the standard ROM. But
this is all IMHO.
FP> The ROM itself can be changed as you wish.
I can tell you from experience (both my own and even more so that of others) that the ability to “change”
ROM is a big hemorrhoid.

It’s a good thing, and useful. Get busy?
