Voice on Spectrum (2George Shepelev)

ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Max Romanoff To All 9 March 1998

Andrew is that you?
...why did you tell All about the Voice on the Spectrum (2George Shepelev)?

AS> Listen, can you give me examples of how to build it all, otherwise I really want
AS> for the Spectrum to speak, even if it’s not in a very pleasant voice.

so, you sample and that’s it.

AS> And then there’s AY, there’s nothing on it?

it’s easy. you sample in 8 bits, then leave only the highest 4.

AS> And yet... they said AONs (in different voices), but how would they sing?

and you sing, record - they will sing. :)

AS> And about the algorithms for packaging - unpacking sound, tell me something, plz! I
AS> have been tormenting people here for a long time with such questions, but no one has answered.

haha, do you seriously think that in aonah, with their 4Mhz Z80, they use
some kind of voice packaging?! :)))

Good Luck...

... What? The second letter is an S? I thought it was "McDos".
