From Igor Gruzdev → To All 15 May 1997
Hello, Dmitry!
It’s quiet outside the window, and I’m sitting and writing a response to a letter written from Dmitry Grigoryev
to Igor Gruzdev Tue May 13, 1997 at 23:46...
IG>> Hmm... But what I thought - now in the West they hardly write games
IG>> for spec, the maximum that is possible is - magazines. (well, or newspapers)
DG> You could even say - a magazine and a newspaper. Compared to us :)
And what's in them?
IG>> Is it theoretically possible to sell (or some other commercial)
IG>> use of the same games among emulators? Or is it just
IG>> nostalgia for the old and sharing old games.
DG> That's what I'm talking about!!! Let's ask?
DG> ======================================================================
DG> 2 To all emulator gamers: Buy a cool domestic game? A
DG> remix collections? A
DG> publications? =====================================================================
DG> =====
Hmm. I meant Westerners. Is it realistic to say that you can find a buyer for a new game on the Spectrum among bourgeois emulator users.
But ours can... If the freebies don’t come. :)
IG>> Current zxnews will be in the hobet files if it is from several files.
DG> :) By the way, what is the last number? Only 27 reached me... a month
DG> ago :(
There were two more 28 and 29. The last one (29from May 7th I went to the department...) I threw spectrophones there... Did they even get somewhere?
All!!! Those who are outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg and receive faeha spectrum, throw teak soap from feha at me...
With all kinds of regards and wishes.
Igor.
... It doesn’t matter what you carry, it matters how you present it.

DG> remixes? And what about the publications?
DG> ==========================================================================
As far as I remember, domestic games and publications are protected from copying.
And breaking these “domestic programs of a similar class,” as one
person put it (can you tell me who?) is ugly and undignified.
So, IMHO there is an answer to your question. only one answer.

Good luck ! Evgeny.

IG> And what’s in them?
Do I know? ;) Usually something that doesn't interest us :) I don't even read them
carefully...
IG> Hmm. I meant Westerners. Is it realistic to say that it is possible
IG> to find a buyer for a new game on the Spectrum among

So you have to try... I offered Yura to translate ZN, but the “smart” guys from IFC
told him that it’s not worth trying :( I have a different opinion :^)
IG> A ours can... If the freebies don’t come. :)
But if one of the distribution companies (Logros, Velcom...) tried
to sell, along with Spectrum floppy disks, games for the Shalaev emulator :)
Maybe there would be a demand?
IG> There were two more 28 and 29. The last one (29 of May 7 went to the fag...)
This one has arrived. ZX-News 28 was not there :(
IG> I threw spectrophones there... Did they even get somewhere?
We got numbers 4, 5 and 6. 2 and 3 flew past without looking...
IG> With all sorts of regards and wishes.
IG> Igor.
IG> ... It doesn’t matter what you’re carrying, it’s important how you present.
;)
Sincerely, Dmitry (OLDMAN).

What's in Western magazines? I've only seen Subliminal Extacy. What's in it? Mat +
100% complete nonsense. I looked through the 2nd issue of this insanity - there was not a single worthwhile article there. Who wants to know more - see Adventurer 5, where is the translation of this insanity and curses. ;-(
Hasta la vista, Dmitry! See you in Eden!

Hmm. IMHO, there is something healthy here. :) Let's say they're selling a 1'44 floppy disk with the Shalaevsky emulsion and a solid image on it... Hmm. This will all fit even on a 5'25 disc.
Imho, when something like this is proposed, someone will be interested, especially since
you don't have to really figure it out... I wonder if anyone will risk doing something like this? And it would be even more interesting to know the results of such an experiment. ;)

30... :( and there are also ready-made 31 and 32...
and Mas doesn’t want to color them, I
don’t have the time, and there are no more people willing yet... :(
here’s a color printer with two-fonts... :(
DG> Yours sincerely, Dmitry (OLDMAN).
Best wishes, Arno from Omega group.

And Emulate? In the intro, however, it says that this is a magazine... but here they
got too excited, in my opinion ;)

Which newspaper? Text file in .txt format, no matter what they call themselves.
