Come on ;) zcop diskname.trd - that’s the whole conversion. But they won't pester you with requests for an emulator that works with .$ files? And there will be no problems with the correct
location of multi-volume game files on the disk. There won’t be many problems... And
users-sinklerists will never suck their paw - we won’t allow it :) In ZXNet, all
files from echo/filehi are in trdos form.

Hello, Dmitry!

It’s quiet outside the window, and I’m sitting and writing a response to a letter written from Dmitry Grigoryev
to Roman Alexandrov Wed Apr 23, 1997 at 07:16...

DG> Come on ;) zcop diskname.trd - that’s the whole conversion. But
DG> they won’t pester you with requests for an emulator that works with .$ files?

Do you think that they won’t distract you with questions like how to work with .trd and which
emul reads it? :)

DG> And there will be no problems with the correct location of files of multi-volume
DG> games on the disk.

This is logical, but something like this (say, a file or some kind of magazine) is already clear that
it’s more convenient to throw it in a folder.

DG> There won’t be many problems...

Oh well... Games (and programs in general) mostly discetized under tr-dos,
and tr-dos is not well known overseas, to put it mildly, they know more about tap or z80. So there will still be a problem with Western emulators, and then,
if someone has the Shalaevsky emulsion, and has a selection of games (for example), then, IMHO,
it goes without saying that he will select these games on some topic, and
that means he will know that there is a hobby. In a word, we are, after all, in
Russia (or x-USSR), where we are accustomed to tr-dos and hobeta, which means it still makes sense to throw single files in the hobeta. It’s still more convenient to work with them.

DG> And Sinclairist users will never suck their paw - we won’t allow it :) In ZXNet
DG> all files fromEkhi/faylekhi go in the traditional form.

In the hobet sense, or rather on a real floppy disk. :)

With all kinds of regards and wishes.
Igor.

P.S. It’s good that they don’t offer to translate the faq into English. :))

If anyone needs a converter SNA, Z80, PRG, RAW I can throw it here
but he doesn’t understand TRD;(

Have you thought about how they will deal with it? The entire menu is in Russian! And they
don’t even have Russifiers! And they won’t want to crawl through menus with crazy names like “≈°∙е≤⌡”
. Or did you make a translation before that?

Hasta la vista, Dmitry.

Well, they probably have fonts... the ex-USSR is not China, after all ;)

SN> Or did you do a translation before that?

Translated for Doc Stylus... if they want, they will understand :) But I didn’t even think about the menu ;) But
agree, in emulation, they will be able to fall out, and the options can be set in the config
. And then, somehow they figured out version 1.5...
