I greet you from the bottom of my heart, All !

Here, I threw the alpha version of Faq's program. Add whoever can/wants.

By the way, at 2:465/98.17 I installed ZX_Server, which will send out
Faqs and frequently asked programs. For now, only fact of traders and fact
programs are available, as soon as I test the work, I will add programs/fakie.

The format of the letter is as follows:

To: ZX_Faq 2:465/98.17

in the body of the letter:

%HELP - help on the server
%LIST - list of files available upon request
%TRADERS - fact on traders
%PROGRAMS - Fak on programs

Test, please, on all points. Requests from any addresses are processed.
What offers?

Hasta la vista.
Tim Kelly

What, an idea: take it and create a server that would serve all sorts of
requests on topics like “there is such and such an emulator, but I don’t know what to do with it” or
“how to get through such and such a ruckus?” or “I want such and such an old program” - and the echo will be a little
unloaded from such frequently appearing answers to almost the same
questions...
and as for the request for programs - so you can send them in yuyuki, as long as on the way
no one eats them...
and the idea is cool...
and if you also create a server using mailing out archives of Sinclair's programs in uuye -
then, IMHO - there will be no price for it...
these are the proposals... - who will add anything else?

Sincerely, Vladimir...

I greet you from the bottom of my heart, Eugene!

Thu Mar 05 1998, Eugene Malkov squeezed the keyboard, hoping that the following words would reach All:

EM> Here, I threw the alpha version of Faq according to the programs. Please add who
EM> can/wants.

I answer myself :) The first glitches and the first restrictions have been discovered.
Firstly, they clearly hinted to me about gateing on the Internet :( Therefore, it’s not a shame, but letters coming from the Internet will not be processed :( !

Secondly, due to the fact that letters received via IP contain system
information that the server is also trying to process. Therefore, many testers
instead of a response received something like “Incorrect request: RESEIVED:”, i.e. the robot
stupidly processed the first word of system information and disappeared.

In this regard, the server operation was switched to the SUBJ field mode.

EM> the letter format is as follows:

EM> To: ZX_Faq 2:465/98.17
or To: ZX_Server 2:465/98.17

EM> in the body of the letter:
In the Subj field !!!!! No processing will be performed in the body of the letter!!!

EM> %HELP - help for the server
EM> %LIST - list of files available upon request
EM> %TRADERS - fact about traders
EM> %PROGRAMS - fact about programs

You can specify no more than four requests in one letter!!!more than four requests in one day.

What else to connect (Fakies, small programs, what?) ?

When will the list of files for mailing be available?
We need to throw everything echo/feh there!

Will there be anything for the Spectrum hardware (memory expansion, mice, turbocharger
etc., etc.)?

$$$ With best wishes ... Alex

If anyone shares, there will be. Once I finish setting up the server, I’ll immediately start collecting various information. Who tested it, is everything OK or are there any problems? For now
I’m struggling with the problem of processing several requests in one letter - I think I’ll overcome it.

will come as soon as at least a more or less acceptable amount of information is collected.

Damn, I’m not talking about Fakie, I’m talking about the processing of requests by the server sending UUE to the
Internet! You didn't understand me.

IMHO it’s necessary to create a complete catalog with documentation of everything that has ever
existed and exists.

Bye, with a pack of vicious notes, Pavel Fedin.
