ESS sound truble!

Greetings, Vladimir!

Yes, now there is sound (es1868), by the way, is the digitization not at 8 kHz? It could be better!

P.S. IMHO the emulsion is the best for synchronization on the border.
I would like support for FDI disks (for IS-DOS).

P.P.S. Isn't it your demo 'GLUM' (1993), cool demo!

All the best. /──────────────────────\

not quite ess - jazz16 (for dos - sb pro)
under OS2 - start - sound init click - hang of this session
(Shalaeva - ok)

Music happened. :) But it wasn’t there before.
I checked it on RAGE. At 15kHz it doesn’t even slow down (P120).

Best wishes, Maxim.

The sound occurred... :)

VY> Yes, if your port is not 220h, then in the second and third bytes put
VY> your port.

By the way, in the blaster manuals, all blasters need to give the D1h command :)
Otherwise, without turning on the speakers, you won’t really hear the sound :)

A now to the point :))) !

As far as I understand from the ZXEmul 2.0 code, you are doing a cool thing - you mix the AY chip
into a sample, and then play it :) To be honest, I wanted to offer something similar
:) but I didn’t have time, you already did it...

However, I am worried about the speed of the emulator: When I mixed 16 channels at
44100Hz 16bit - I lost 60% of the speed of the car, but with you at 8bit and at what frequency (apparently 11-16kHz) you lose the same amount of performance...
on DX2-66 it clearly slows down more than it should :)

P.S. Read the rest in the soap :)

Have a nice day, with best wishes & regards! Mike.

The sound frequency changes in Ini using the command Sound_Rate,
although when I worked with ESS, there was no difference above 4-8KHz,
when it is noticeable on AWE64.

In the next version (already done) sampling by the border will be
2 pixels (currently 8)! :)
I’m already doing FDI support, I just need some kind of image for testing.

No, not mine.

In general, to watch demos with border effects, I only use your emul.
It’s better to leave the F1-F4 keys, otherwise they do synchronization for the Pentagon, then for
“Real spectrum”, then for something else.

Convert with 'trd'.
Or maybe throw 'makefdi' into the echo?

This demo was written by the future Dream Makers software, and then RUSH, and so on etc.
And Vladimir Khropov and Vladimir Yudin are IMP and VMP (or vice versa :)
in ASSORTY MD napsano. Maybe someone will throw it too??? Cool thing, although old.
