Nice bulls, All! :)))

Official statement:

The Discovery creative team is preparing to release a new
modem game - GAMBIT. As you probably guessed, this is chess. I'll be honest - we didn't want to tell anyone about the project until it was completed. As they say: if you hurry, you will make people laugh. :( But since yesterday there was an announcement about modem chess (by Style group...) - Time trouble, we will have to bring our GAMBIT into the light of day. And now our
task becomes more complicated - GAMBIT needs to be made as unlike as possible from Time trouble, so as not to suspect us of plagiarism.
I can say with confidence that our game will be better. ;)))
And, most importantly, it will be a free ware product!!! We don’t want to put a spoke in Style group’s wheels, but we believe that it’s a sin to make money on this kind of program. And it's still too fresh to remember about X-Reversy... :(((
Okay, enough philosophizing. ;) Some useful information.
The game is almost ready (morelook for a detailed announcement in the eighth ASpect). Work on the interface is now being completed, and then there will be a rather long period of testing.
Presumably, the program will be released as an application to ASpect #9.
what else should I add? This product is only the first program in the "Modem games by Discovery Group" series. Which game will be next is up to you to decide. Write to this echo, or to the origin, what modem games you would like to see. For now, presumably, the next one will be "Battleship". But everything depends on your activity. :)

All the best! :) Alexey Guryev / Discovery group.
