Maybe everything, but no matter how much I messed around, nothing came of it. The floppack is recognized by the BIOS, when accessed from the program the indicator flashes (with some BIOS installation parameters even the disk spins), but the READ is not.
Sincerely yours,
Eugene

Hello, Evgeny!
It’s quiet outside the window, and I’m sitting and writing a response to a letter written from Evgeny Milun to

ES>> I’m a dummy at hardware, what kind of second leg are we talking about here?
EM> Uffff... ( 2IG: I’m sitting down to write this on Monday part of the FAQ)
See the postscript in the FAQ. However, this applies to everyone. :)
With all kinds of regards and wishes.
Igor.

Usually you look at the documentation for the flop, but in the absence of it, you just poke around
by scientific poke and poke. As soon as the LED starts to light up when accessing the flop, it means the jumpers have been selected correctly. :)

And it shouldn’t be turned on... That’s what I’m talking about... I’m very glad that there was a person who is well versed in the differences between one brand of drive

Also to the point. This is not “HD/DD”, this is “Reducing the write current”.

You almost always need to fuck with jumpers. By the way, why are you still

You most likely have the wrong controller circuit on the Spectrum.
Or the VG is turbocharged incorrectly. It reads its own discs, reads other people's, but after
recording on other computers, your discs are not readable.

This is a slightly different problem - the disks need to be “processed” by the DCU in the
ordinary disk mode (or whatever? I don’t remember exactly). This is already due to the length of the first spaces...

Probably “always ready” is better than “ready not when needed” :)
