I agree. There, the work with ports was also done incorrectly. If the program
tries to find a coprocessor precisely by ports, then it breaks down.

everything is really wonderful, just a small inconvenience: when you use the mouse it’s
good, but when you use buttons it’s more difficult... Maybe it’s worth changing
the sequence of moving through the items in some moments? For example, it’s not very convenient either in the Utilities mode or in the disk image selection mode (F5 in
emulation)...

Previously, it was on programmable ones calculators? And before them there were even abacus.
Can you imagine how convenient it is? no buttons, no registers, no stacks.

you're too lazy to take a Cyrillic driver with you, if you have it written in the rules
? about permissible languages, and if someone does not understand Russian, then it's his problem.

Nothing, we’ll get used to the new interface ;)
I wanted to say something - it would be desirable to make an option so that the emulator
starts automatically, without pressing the 'START' key, and exits immediately without
'ARE YOU SURE?' the same - I have disk images on a self-written CD in zips

Greetings, dear Nikolay!
I read, look, see, and Nikolay Shalaev, 21 Jul 97, writes to Danil Ermakoff:
NS> What I didn’t expect was a massive attack on the new interface :(.
NS> So far I perceive the words “more convenient” and “more understandable” as "more familiar"...
I liked the interface in 2.07 - very "clear" and even convenient.
However, I had an idea to increase the convenience.
The point is this:
For specs there are a lot of good programs that
when polling the keyboard, they are not tied to interrupts, but simply
run an empty waiting loop before turning on auto-repeat.
When such programs run in the emulator at maximum speed
emulation, it may be impossible to select the desired item in the menu, type
a command, etc. you have to press Esc, take the mouse, aim it
at the Configuration button, then at Speed, there go to the brackets
with the inscription Normal, then to OK and again to OK, and finally to
Continued. And when all the data has been entered, you often have to
switch everything back for maximum speed.
I suggest making a separate entry to the Speed menu, for example
by F6, and in it individual items should be selected with the mouse and cursor
as in the old menu, but most importantly there should be “hot” keys!!! For example, F1 F2 F3.Speed
F1 ( ) Normal
F2 (*) Maximum Parameters
F3 ( ) Accelerated Primary Pixels Attributes Interrupts
F4 ( ) Custom 1 xxx yy zz nn
F5 ( ) Custom 2 xxx yy zz nn
F6 ( ) Custom 3 xxx yy zz nn
F7 (*) Maximum speed in TR-DOS
F8 nn Interrupt frequency
And another important thing! Exit to the emulator immediately after selecting one of
items F1-F7. In F8, the output is after entering a digital value and
pressing Enter.
If this is implemented, then switching the speed will become
simpler than pressing Turbo.
And you have to switch the speed very often, and not only
when entering from the keyboard, but also when trying to synchronize
the display of graphics in demos with the frequency of the video card,
however, not very successful yet. :(
I will be happy to see a new version of the emulator using
this idea!
Sincerely
S ergey

Tim, first of all, you write a couple of emulators that crowds of people
on a bunch of platforms will use, and at the same time give the source code
to the people, and then get on with it to the classics ;-)
meant FMSX, VGB, ...
Good luck

From Sergey Ilyin → To All 28 July 1997
A normal interface, however, there are comments, you can use the function
keys for different configurations, in order to change the volume you have to
press a bunch of cases.
And also, you can provide additional memory (Pentagon 512, Profi1024,
Scorpion256, Zx-Next, etc). And also, a feature such as removing the brakes or super-performance, well, this is when long-term packing processes go on to the spec, there is no need for any synchronization there.
Also, can you add a function for loading memory image files (Z80,...)?
Also, my digital sound plays somehow strangely, maybe it has acquired turbo speed, or maybe there are brakes need to be corrected.
Also, maybe you can add some simple commander like
hobeta to the utilities, so that they can not only make entire images, but also throw them back and forth
by file, format disks, create empty ones, move,
import all sorts of crap from MS-DOS and back, ...
Even I’m lost, in short, ideas and there are a lot of wishes, the question is whether you can handle it,
if so, then shout, ideas will fall in heaps.
p.s. I forgot, how could I transfer the files from the Uglekovsky FDI file to your floppy disk image? If you are not going to do anything like that, then send me the TRD file format, maybe someone will do it for us.
If you have answers to questions, throw it in the echo or soap. I will be glad to any answer.

The fact that earlier, by pressing F5, you could use the arrow keys and enter to select a disk, but
now you have to reach for the mouse, which I don’t use with the emulator, and therefore
it’s lying aside. Or press TAB, which is also a bad idea, because it is very far
