From Aleksandr Sakhnov To All 17 November 1997

Hello everyone!

I'm new here and would like to ask about emulators:
do they understand unpublished assembler commands, such as (in HEX):
ED 44 , ED 45 , ED 4C , ED 4D ,
ED 54 , ED 55 , ED 5C , ED 5D ,
ED 64 , ED 65 , ED 6C , ED 6D , ED 66 ,
ED 74 , ED 75 , ED 7C , ED 7D , ED 67 , ED E7 ,
or
DD 25 , DD 8D , DD CB 42 , DD CB 80 ,
FD 44 , FD B4 , FD CB 30 , FD CB B5 ,
...

If you have any questions, ask.

PS: could anyone create a good emulator,
thanks in advance.

Regards Aleksandr.

21 Nov 97 04:35:36 BC Vitaly Samoylov scratched the words “RE:Emulator” on the wall of the cave and after a couple of millennia I decided to sign:

AS> I’m new here and would like to ask about emulators:
AS> do they understand unpublished assembler commands
VS> Yes, sort of. So this has long been a standard, if I’m wrong, correct me!

If this has long been a standard, do you understand the following lines:
M1 DI
LD IX,START
DEFB #DD
LD D, H
DEFB #DD
LD C, L
LD A,24
LD (65535), A
LD A,195
LD (65524),A
LD (65525),HL
LD I,A
DEFB #ED
LD A,(HL)
EI
RET

Regards Aleksandr.

LD A,(HL) > IM 2
EI
RET
;end

This subroutine seems to have to set the interrupt vector, configure
the transition on this interrupt .

AS> M1 DI
AS> LD IX,START

Replace with LD HL,Start

AS> DEFB #DD

kill

AS> LD D,H

AS> DEFB #DD

Kill

And it will work. Or not?

AS> LD C,L
AS> LD A,24
AS> LD (65535),A
AS> LD A,195
AS> LD (65524),A
AS> LD (65525),HL
AS> LD I,A

AS> DEFB #ED
AS> LD A,(HL)

AND it can be treated...

AS> EI
AS> RET

; IM 2

AS> EI

; Interrupts enabled

AS> RET

; The program runs until the first maskable interrupt...

Attention, question! And what is the address of the handler we have at 0C3FFh?
And the handler itself is worth a look ;)
