ZX emulators

ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Iliya Kaledin To All 17 April 1997

Hello All.

There are 2 subj emulators, one works with *.trd format files and the second with z80 etc
and there is a SPECTRUM f-echo for which in the archive there are games for ZX, but the games are there in the
archive and the file extension is like *.b$0
What should I do?

PS It would be nice to have a BBS phone where all sorts of good things lie under the ZX

And there is also a program zcop, which perfectly converts *.$b into *.trd and in general
brings a lot of benefits ;)

Use zcop (c)

A in general, really - after all, it is much easier for a person unfamiliar with domestic emulators to launch a disk image than to have fun with Hobet's files. Maybe it makes sense to put games on "disks" in the trd format into the file? Even if they are only slightly filled, all the excess will be compressed. You also need to take into account that the FAQ is international, and “there” they certainly won’t deal with the numerous procedures for a disk system that does not exist there and with help
for them in Russian. And anyone can guess to type a line like “spectrum diskname.trd”, since the Shalaev emulator is known in the West, including its latest
version.

Sincerely, Dmitry (OLDMAN).
