Let the earth be down to you, All...

Is there at least 1 emulator in nature that reads native Spectrum
floppy disks??? Or how to make Shalaevsky read?

You are welcome, All. Welcome to die. With beast wishes, - Andrew...

There is one called UKV. To read not a file, but a native ZX disk on
, replace the file name with A: or B:
and it will read information from the A: or B: disk...

Then here’s the question. There is a Shalaev emulator v3.04, UKV v1.2
^^^^^^^^
But what a joke. Specky worked for me with a 3" drive. And the disks are all
formatted at 720 kB. And the holes for recognizing 720-1.2 are sealed.
That is, floppy disks are recognized as 720 kB. And 3" on IBM, of course, works as 1.44.
So what to do in such a situation? Or stick up the window 720-1.44, but then
in general everything goes upside down..
So how do you still get the emulator to swallow these floppy disks???

Always yours Sergey Tsvetkov.
Good luck!

Have you tried changing 1.44 to 720 in the BIOS?

Please look at the instructions. From the words:

“Disk drive 3.5” was not given any attention; testing shows that you can
do something on it, but I get read/write errors on almost every
track..."

So it doesn’t help :((I don’t know what to do, I used to have all the programs on Specky
from a 3" drive running. So I got it :( And now they are lying idle, I just can’t
get emulsion into some thread.

That is, in principle, you can forget about 3" dmiskets? :(
And if you make such a joke. Copy everything from 3" to 5", and then in UKV
(MakeFdi) force it to swallow them at a speed of 300 rpm using the "-G2" command.
Do you think such a joke will work?

Install 3.5" 720k in SetAp

Have you tried using UKV? I’ve done all the disks that are in the usual way It didn't work out, so I did.
You do this:
1) Create a clean FDI using ZCOP.
2) Make it in the emulsion as B:
3) In the emulsion itself, copy from disk "A" (disk drive) to disk "B" (FDI).
4) Convert it, if necessary, to TRD. (fdi2trd.exe is there?)

That's it!

Apparently, yes :(( No matter how much I tried, it didn’t work. It’s strange, of course, IMHO
the author did not set the data transfer rate correctly (maybe in 95 there was no
such information?) Probably, you change one byte and it starts working with 3.5"?

ST> What if such a trick. Copy everything from 3" to 5", and then in

I don’t know. Why not do it easier - copy with a track copier on
IBM 3 inches to 5, then UKV will understand. TeleDisk - they are not friendly with floppy disks formatted on the Spectrum.
Then another perverse method is to use HoBeta, adapted for 3.5"
to transfer files from the disk to *.$*, and then another HoBeto - to 5.25", or ZCOP
immediately to .FDI or .TRD...

With warm regards, Glory!
