When I had Specy, I changed the VTC32 Electronics to an EGA monitor
and was very pleased with the image quality. To do this, you need to find
separate frame and horizontal sync pulses on the board, invert one of
them, I don’t remember which one (in EGA monitors the CGA, EGA
modes are set by the polarity of one of the sync pulses) and that’s it!
On my monitor there was also such a glitch - the yellow color (not bright), was
brown (on IBM there is no dim yellow), so I
soldered a circuit that, when the color was yellow (R+G+~B), forcibly
turned on Bright.
