E'97 Music, impressions...

Allow me to publish a letter - review written by LEO from Coders'Academy
after listening to Subzha's Mouzons. On my own behalf, I would like to add that my opinion
does not coincide with the opinion of the author of the following letter.

It's just some kind of nightmare. Well, damn it, when I listened to all this
I almost killed my keyboard a couple of times, and my health sharply worsened after
listening. I even felt sorry for those people who listened to these nonsense at
E'97. I got the impression that many of the “authors” were not just stepped on by the bear, but trampled the hell out of them.
I was able to listen to about 10 Mouzons in their entirety, the shorter ones. In general, if I were in the shoes of many authors, I would simply be ashamed to show such
“musons” to my friends, not to mention such a party as Enlight.
Poor Robert Miles. If he had heard those obscene remixes of his music, then
he would probably have killed those who made them (and I would have helped him).
In short, all 63 music can be divided into three levels, according to the quality of writing:
1) very low level - about 60%
2) low level - about 38.5%
3) average level - 1.5%
4) high level - completely absent.
Yes, andwho said that I remember mic's Mouzon??? How could he be remembered?
In general, the authors should be ashamed for such music. Take ksa, for example - every time the quality of his music gets worse and worse. Or voxon.
I wrote such nonsense that you are amazed. Where did the melody and beauty of the ornaments go? Well, there’s nothing to say about all the dnk kvs and mr.niks.
There are a lot of music from various unknown musicians, it all just infuriates.
But there are also some original works. For example, the music from the Infarkt demo is simply pleasant to listen to. Ivan Bobov's music with birds sounds original.
But there is one music (N54/chasm/cpu), when I listened to it I got the impression
that I was sitting in a swamp and frogs were croaking around me. And in general, the acid just
burned through the speakers (they learned how to do it, damn it).

Well, now about digital music. This is also something with something. It was hard to even imagine this. In the past, the digital download was better, imho. The only thing
that impressed me was STEREO/Volga Soft. This is cool, but
still not self-written music. It is necessary to note the music ROKDREAM - original and at the
level. A good start and some moments in the next remix of R.Miles, but
further... there are no words, only drool. It seemed to me that people generally don’t know how to write digital music on Speccy. And what happenedpresented - just
nonsense.

ADDRESS TO THE ORGANIZERS OF FUNTOP'98

1) Preliminary listening to the music is absolutely necessary.
2) Accept no more than 2 works from each author.
3) To conduct a preliminary listening, you can/should create
an authoritative jury of famous/cool musicians on ZX
4) it’s time to introduce Covox and Soundrive into the digital music compo category
