Hello Sergei!

Here is the opinion that has developed in the conditions of Taganrog:

SN> - There is not enough professionalism...
Oh no! There are many capable people...

SN> - Mother Laziness. Why code something when all the existing software
SN> is enough to play for the rest of your life. Quite likely
Quite likely...

SN> - Lack of normal distribution.
Nobody has any idea about this...

SN> IFK offers authors so little that for such a ridiculous amount it’s just
SN> it’s a shame to give away your own work.
IFK is about as far away as it was before America...

SN> - Absence of normal
SN> artists/musicians among the creators of the future game.
SN> This idea is also quite stupid
Logical... ;)

SN> - Lack of ideas. We are always at a loss with ideas - you don’t know
SN> what to come up with,
Now, now, it’s quite difficult to reinvent the wheel, everything has already been invented...
SN> then the plans are so Napoleonic that not everyone can master them
SN> RST ;).
And this is the case...
SN> Those who more quickly, we learned to steal ideas from other platforms (“steal

SN> in such a case, why not rip off the program, introducing a bunch of your own into it?
SN> After all, you don’t have to be an outstanding ID generator for this! ;)
Yes, but for this you need to have this same “other platform”! But this is already beyond the power of many Sinclairists...
SN> Example:
SN> take Civilization 2,...
Where can I get it if you don’t have a PC... :(
Don’t forget that everyone who writes and reads here has it, and has already forgotten
what it is like “in the presence of absence” © Monteur Mechnikov
SN> - Lack of material incentive.
Also plays a role, but not so strong...
SN> How can you fight pirates?
No way! There were, there are and will be!
SN> b) hidden

SN> printed on the branded sticker of the floppy disk, or the game gives an expletive
SN> message like “This disk is pirated. Further passage of the game
SN> is impossible.” - and resets. Effective?
Effective, but what next? If there is no branded version and there won’t be?
Like we did with “Star Legacy” - we played and played - it doesn’t work,
andthe interest has already passed, something new has appeared, the old has already been forgotten.
SN> Now let's think about why software sales have been falling lately: 1)
SN> people are running away to other platforms, and nothing can be done about it
Here, here...
SN> 2) more than 100 ;) different ways to get free money have appeared
SN> this
SN> or other din - starting from friends and ending with Fido. What to do with friends
SN> - even the greatest genius of all time - grandfather
SN> Lenin,
All of the above is true!
SN> - but what to do with BBS - you can come up with.
Hey, BBS with us is really exotic (or maybe they aren’t? ;))
SN> Fido. Strange as it may seem, limiting the distribution of proprietary software
SN> here is as simple as shelling pears - it is enough just within the framework of both
SN> Spectrum echs to prohibit throwing domestic software no older than 1
SN> year
SN> without the consent of the author - and everything will be OK.
:((
SN> The next stage is the Internet. It will be quite difficult here, although It doesn’t cause any particular damage - not even every tenth person has access to it. Fido.
SN> Now the most important thing is thathow can we make it so that
SN> users buy the software and not copy it for free.
We don’t have a single official distributor...

SN> So what? A blank disk costs sellers about 2 thousand, maximum 3 thousand.
SN> The rest is profit. Where did the price “15 thousand” even come from? I have no idea. Well, okay, 7-8 pieces are still realistic.
It feels like it’s not the seller who’s talking... ;))

SN> Well, what is your opinion, All?
There is another opinion, the most topical for this area (see Origin)

There is no time to write because of sessions, exams, just classes, well, etc. etc.
The people are mostly students! Here, for example, we have 2-3 groups with their own
ideas, even partially embodied, but there is no time to finish them :((

And there is one more nuance: Parents do not allow you to study with the computer until the homework
is not done, the tails have not been handed in, and something else has not been done.

So here it is...

Bye , Vladimir :)

... ...Hey, if you're in Taganrog, come in!...

From Sergei Novikov To All 3 June 1997

Greetings, Alexey! Glad to see you again!

Answering yld Tuesday, the 03 of June 1997:

SN>> Why didn’t you order it by mail from IFC? Is 15 thousand a lot? For the whole
SN>> city?

AI> You know, it’s better to pay the author than IFC...

Better. But if there is no way to pay the author, then why not IFC? Moreover
he paid the author at least a little -> he should be rewarded :))

Hasta la vista, Alexey! See you in Eden!

Greetings, Evgeny! Glad to see you again!

Answering yld Wednesday, the 04 of June 1997:

EM> And who told you that the “branded” Heritage is easy to go through?

Not easy, but it is passable.

EM> Up to the password in the safe, the three conditions for opening it, the direction of movement
EM> in Tempor, finally, it’s almost impossible to figure it out on your own - you need
EM> either to read tips on passing, or open the game.

But some passed (Sigma (Kharkov), but he didn’t guess about the safe - he broke into
the shipment, but there were other examples, I think. AK, it seems, wrote that they passed
before anyone else in Donetsk, I really don’t know if they broke it).

EM> And, “for the whole city,” what’s that like? Play in turns? Hack?

Well, one disk for 5 people (3 thousand each + 10% postal [15000/10/5=300])
would be enough.

Can you imagine this situation?
“Vasya, today it’s my turn to play Heritage”
“No, you were on yesterday I played for two hours longer"
"So what, but next time I won’t be able to, I need to study"
.....

That’s funny to hear. :))))

Good luck! Evgeny.
