About 700 people - actually even LESS. This is _not_ a mistake.

Based on some considerations and market attendance statistics, I think that
there will be even more than 2800, and recently there has not been a rapid decline in the number of spektrumists (although it seems to everyone), but an avalanche decline in their purchasing power, from which
it is not difficult draw the wrong conclusions!

Can I give you such computers on the cheap?
TY> Well, another thing is that the majority of Zx users are guys 9-17 years old, as a rule, do not have their own money.
The situation is changing here: 9-14 years old people buy other cars, and on the Spectrum (with
rare exceptions) those who remember its formation remain, while the age of
users is aging (from 19-20 to 52 years). Naturally, in most cases,
Spectrum is the second or third computer in the house.

Or simply because of the lack of new programs?

Hello, Tim!
It’s quiet outside the window, and I’m sitting and writing a response to a letter written from Tim Yunaev to

Does everyone who once bought a Spectrum use it?

What are the prospects? Is something being done? Aren't you afraid of hackers? ;))

Wrong? There is only one way out of the decline in purchasing power - all these thousands of wheelbarrows are thrown into the trash, thrown behind a closet, etc.
pieces of furniture. Not used, in short...

Well, look - a gamer bought himself a stump - but will he even launch an emulator after that?
And the need for software disappears....
By the way, I remember the year 92-93, when I saw Dune2 (on PC, of course :)
I didn’t want to look at Spectrum strategies for several days -
(then, of course, it passed - but that was one of the first stages of getting acquainted with
PC) so that's why I said this - even a friend of this very
gamer (who still has ZX) will see some real games on the PC, then he will see
on the display case a disk with a new Spekov game for 20-30 thousand, and next to it - a computer with a new pisish game for 50 - he will buy the last one,
so "break away" from a friend..... :(
There may be another problem.
CYA,
Ivan.

So the defense was picked out! I went to visit him. Two people worked the whole
day, but they did :(
By the way, at one time I wrote some kind of program protected by the same method, after
which almost the entire city installed toggle switches on the write enable of the drive - cheap and
cheerful. So they even copied the originals.
DG> We need to make it so that it is more profitable to buy legally... (I don’t know how
DG> ;) Or more prestigious - develop computer press.
It will not be more profitable. I can say this 100%. Firstly, no one will do this - those who are on the radio market are already selling these programs, and they absolutely don't care whether they are copyrighted or not. Even if they sell a protected copyrighted program, two (three) people will buy it, and then they will give it away to everyone. give a damn. How can I shame someone for hacking programs, especially not mine, if I even registered GoldEd with the left
recorder, not to mention the rest of the programs installed on my machine at home and at
work, worth about $10,000 :)
Example - IS-DOS appeared in due time. It was cool, but there was no formatter. It took three
hours to analyze the format, four - to writeof his own, the second day was entirely spent on correcting mistakes, of which there were a lot. At the next radio market
IS-DOS was already sold with a formatter.
This is not boasting, not bragging, I’m not proud of it - there’s nothing special
to be proud of - it’s just the TRUTH, this is the real state of affairs, imho, outside
Moscow and St. Petersburg.

10 thousand dollars for offtopic software in this echoconference
is a bit undignified.
and it’s probably cool to register GoldEd with the left registry, you
are almost like an anarcho-hacker starfucker.

and the formatter was so amazingly cool that no one had heard of it,
of course - after all, it copied master discs. and, what is remarkable, was
written in just two days.

no, you’re just so smart, in Moscow, St. Petersburg and all other cities
there is only one lamerie, so he doesn’t break anything, and maybe he doesn’t want to.

NM> storyteller, UFO in a day, you were deceived, and you, naive, believed.
I know what I’m talking about - I’ve heard about it more than once. The point is that the majority
simply did not see the brand name. And what was broken was what was protected and overprotected
by traders (example: an application to the SPF, a running line in TAU KITA, where hackers
boast of a broken proprietary version on one (!) disk :))))
This is especially true for the 1st UFO.

TY> Do they teach reading in your kindergarten? Ask the teacher, she

you’re just pushing, it’s physically impossible to remove Slavin’s protection in a day
NM>> and besides, you contradict yourself - in your message to Evgene Milun
NM>> you write that there are reliable protections (the removal of which takes more than
NM>> a week of painstaking work), and any others - from two minutes to two

TY> ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ :)
TY> You, sir, are you in kind :) do you understand that the concepts of time can vary greatly
TY>? And that the fact that it takes a week of work to defend does not at all mean that people don’t eat or sleep for a whole week, and that’s all they do? And that, if you want, you can do a two-week workload
TY> in a day, but you can do a daily workload if you don’t want to do a week?
For the 4th time you contradict yourself, painstaking work is painstaking
work, if such activity can be called work at all
NM>> damn, how many people like to spray saliva - “I broke a UFO in a day (two, three)
NM>>.” this has already become a measure of coolness, whoever hasn’t broken is not a hacker.
NM>> they break one after another and are proud,It would be better if they broke it
NM>> Boulder Dash 4 for the fifth time.
TY> This is your hobby, right? :)
no, this is a joke from the early 90s, only then it was proposed to break it for
the fourth time
NM>> you still don’t understand how UFO is protected, probably narcissism

NM>> own coolness prevents you from just thinking a little,

TY> Well, yes - you’re our genius. You probably heard the word BASIC today
TY> for the first time and managed not to pee yourself during your nap? :)
you still don’t understand how UFO is protected
NM>> the whole city installed toggle switches at your whim? You're not the first here with such

NM>> that the whole city was rushing around.
TY> Copier. At that time, when two people in
TY> had a description of the VG93, he copied absolutely everything that was on the Zx.
For the 5th time you contradict yourself, this copier did not copy itself
if there was one at all, you still don’t remember the name
name the year and throw the copier here
NM>> for general development (maybe you’ll become smarter, thank you later for science

TY> Listen, smart guy, do you even know what Write Enable is on a disk drive? And
TY> why is it needed? And what will happen if you tear it off?
they popularly explained to you how UFO is protected, but you still don’t understand
specify which contact Write Enable is 24 or 28
NM>> yes, you are talking nonsense in your usual style, protected copyright software
NM>> you simply cannot copy,
TY> There are too many non-standard computers - the protection will not work. With
TY> modern technology you can copy almost everything.
^^^^^
The 6th time you contradict yourself, with contradictions 1 and 2
NM>> and write your own defense even more so.
TY> It would be something to spend time on.
you are not an author or a trader, you have no use for it
TY>>> a machine at home and at work with programs worth about $10,000? :)

NM>> software, undignified.
TY> Sir millionaire? And he uses exclusively licensed software?
if you want to say that your software worth 10 thousand dollars
is licensed, then you are contradicting the words you said earlier
if it is installedfor free for two cars, then it’s not much
NM>> and it’s probably cool to register GoldEd with the left registry, you
NM>> are already almost like an anarcho-hacker starfucker.
TY> Kid, again you don’t understand anything. Go to bed - it's late.
Are you offended that the left registers are not listed in this echo?
Were you waiting for someone to ask you for it?
NM>> and the formatter was so amazingly cool that no one had heard of it, even
NM>> it would have copied master disks. and, remarkably, it was written
NM>> in just two days.
TY> Listen, have you done at least something useful in your entire life? Or are you
TY> only able to scratch your tongue immoderately?
your words about the formatter in two days look like an exaggeration
do you have any idea about master disks do you have?
