Business. sequel to Super Spectrum.
ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»
From Vsevolod Potapov → To All 29 October 1997
Good afternoon again, ppl.
Today (like yesterday) I will continue downloading about the Spectrum-future.
I have seen a lot of articles about the development of the spec. most of them were dedicated to Sprinter. This is what I would like to say about this
...
Firstly, this is all good, of course, but I hope you yourself understand that
a computer even with such capabilities, but without native software, is doomed
from the moment of birth (today. If this had been invented at least
a couple of years ago, the situation would have been different, but... the train has left).
even supporting all (which I doubt) Speck software it will be
too expensive an alternative to the same Scorpio (the best Russian
spec clone IMHO). I sincerely hope that people will write software for
Sprinter, but start from scratch in these troubled times.....
Second, yes, we need some kind of alternative. everything must evolve - and in terms of the platform too. I hope no one will contradict - you can’t sit on the same computer all your life. someone will buy AMiGA, someone
piSI, the smarter (and richer) will get a Power Mac. but that's not what we're talking about - there should be a home gaming (and not only of coz) computer.
The Spectrum will last for a long time, but... support is needed (and there is none). and
the point is not that there won’t be new games (there will be - someone said that
the games are ending. heh heh - they’re lying, I’m friends with the owner of the archive which
every dayDozens of new games are arriving! Of course, I gained a little
megs - I will disk, without intros :)). One way or another, it’s a pity that Sam Coupe was not widespread in our homeland. although I believe that all is not lost - this is a very good computer. as I already said, very close
to spec. This is what one of the developers wrote to me:
>As SAM was based in part around the Speccy, but with extra enhancements
> like 6Mhz speed, 6 channel sound, single pixel colors (no clash!) etc
very similar to Sprinter? and that's true! but what is very important is that this computer has software! you can use it right away, with all the programs - and Spekov's too (I won't lie - in limited emulation mode). I
can overwhelm Russia with these Sams if necessary - is anyone interested?
after all, the computer is very Spectrum Like and cannot even be called OFFTOPIC. Once again I ask the developers to contact me - about reworking your
progs.
it's time to say goodbye :) bye everyone, have a nice discussion....

Random ,

:))) and that’s what I wrote about. Why don't we need him! (c) Alexander Knyazev
(about the two-disk format in the spring of 1996:)
and I’m talking seriously, if necessary, I can overwhelm all of Russia and other Soviet
countries with Sam’ami (cool by the way - Security Agency of
Makarowgrad - SAM ;)

Hello! Dear Vsevolod!
At 03:00, Wednesday October 29, 1997, it was such a thing that
Vsevolod Potapov scribbled the letter All:
VP> very similar to Sprinter? and that's true! but what is very important is that this

For example, I am very interested. If you don’t mind, throw in the echo
information about this very Sam Coupe (Frequency, percentage, sound capabilities,
graphics capabilities, how compatible it is with Speccy, etc., etc.)
VP> because the computer is very Spectrum Like and cannot even be called OFFTOPIC. Once again
VP> I ask the developers to contact me - about reworking your
VP> programs.
With respect, Roman.

>Eee ;-) Well, of course, everything is possible, but the moderator will clearly be against it.
another couple of pluses ? ;)
>So

you're all get this info asap. just let the guy get his phoneline installed :)
> That’s actually all I wanted to know for now. It would also be nice

or hard drives).
ok. will definitely do.
