From Michael Kondratyev To All 21 May 1997

Hello Rick!

Sun May 18, 1997, Rick Murray concocted a letter to All:

RM> here another unpleasant thing became clear. It turns out that DOS zx-zip
RM> requires the presence of all sectors in the $z file. my yukalka yukkal
RM> only in real size.. :(... here is a corrector for zips for DOS squashed by zed
RM> (on zx everything should be ok).

RM> 2michael kondratyev. in general it would be better to correct the zip. eh?

this is the problem older than it seems, because the length of the file when sending it by x-modem
may also turn out to be more or less than the real one (0x??11).
threw it here, it’s called hf (if necessary, I can repeat it).
and zip, accordingly, refers to files with all the strictness of wartime.
by the way, erroneous levels if anyone is interested: -1 - error in the parameters, 0 - OK,
the rest (from one to lunch) in the order of their texts:

static char* ErrTxt[]={"can't open archive %s",
"invalid Hobeta file %s",
"unexpected archive end",
"probably missing volume %s",
"too long archive (10 volumes max!)",
"%s isn't a ZxZip archive!",
"insufficient memory",
"can't create %s (disk is fool?)",
""};

With best wishes, Michael.

From Michael Kondratyev To All 23 May 1997

Hello Konstantin!

Wed May 21, 1997, Konstantin Afendikov concocted a letter to Michael Kondratyev:

MK>> "can't create %s (disk is fool?)",

KA> Is this on purpose or what? ^^^^^ Ж8)

what should I do? By the way, this particular error is unlikely to appear (and it has nothing to do with free space
on the disk, which is not checked at all).

With best wishes, Michael.

From Sergei Novikov To All 28 May 1997

Greetings, Michael! Glad to see you again!

Fun of the month:

So come see me yesterday
at JAM, I’ll explain to you what’s what.

Joker, Faultless 5

(Did you understand what comrade
Joker meant and how much did he drink before
writing the article?
I, personally, not quite).
