Good luck! Evgeny.

Greetings, Vyacheslav! Glad to see you again!

Answering yld Sunday, the 29 of June 1997:

VM> Contacting Hemo (whose details were also in ZXFormat NN) is not
VM> recommended (IMHO), because he disappeared somewhere (2All: where did he disappear?)

I decided to check for myself all the nonsense that ZF has been loading up readers with for two years. :) This apparently did not lead to anything good. :)

Hasta la vista, Vyacheslav! See you in Eden!

Hello Tim!

TY> May you have eighty-three bags of hryvnias, Vyacheslav!

VM>> A good (at least fresh) thought flashed from
VM>> M. Iwamoto regarding the spread of Mortal. Like, if the game doesn't
VM>> pay off, we won't release anything else.

TY> This won't stop the pirates - I assure you, 100% It won't - it won't
TY>.

VM>> Maybe this makes sense?

TY> Moral principles to fight our pirates??? :)

Morality alone is not enough. Any problem must be solved comprehensively.
Humanity in a moral sense is too diverse a company, as well as in
all other senses.

From Vladimir Spashko To All 1 July 1997

Hello, Vyacheslav!

29 Jun 97 Vyacheslav Mednonogov --> Roman Kontsevoy :

VM> If anyone needs the phone numbers of all St. Petersburg traders, ask with soap...
VM> I described the situation.

------------------------SKIP----------------------------

VM> pps\ about the CV (when it comes out), if not one of the above listed
VM> options will not work - well, I’ll give you my phone number - I will
VM> meet/see off
VM> trains, although I stopped loving doing it :((

There is another option: the author or authorized distributor distributes
information with all available means (FIDO, magazines, newspapers) about the release of new
software. Then, with willing regional distributors, the price of the distribution is discussed, taking into account the quality of the program and the capabilities of the city for which it is sold (for Moscow and for Uryupinsk, prices should, of course, be different). Then, at the same time, the program is sent to everyone by mail, cash on delivery, instead of “meeting/seeing off trains.”

And call by phone, look for which of the St. Petersburg traders is still engaged in
sales, then wait until the trader deigns to fulfill your order... (and by that time, look, already broken software will do).
So IMHO in this case the regional distributor acts as a
“buyer”, andYou need to value the buyer and not expect him to look for
sellers himself, but lay everything out on a plate for him :-), as long as he pays the money...

Best wishes! Vladimir Spashko 01 July 97 00:49 hour.

From Vladimir Bogdanovitch To All 1 July 1997

VM> If you want to eat up St. Petersburg entirely :)), then you can try
VM> to contact the company Welcome, SoftLand (available in echo), VIks (available in
VM> echo), X-Trade (not involved in software yet)

VM> ps\ I forgot another distributor - V. Larkov :))) And what, MK goes through
VM> to St. Petersburg.

For me, the most convenient thing is to have them throw lists of copyright programs here in the echo along with
conditions of sale and details (the details can be discussed with soap). It's expensive to make long-distance calls, especially with the current demand for programs for the spectrum. Eha
allows you to agree on everything (if it does not go against the rules of Echo, but for
Spectrum this is a necessary thing) practically very quickly and free of charge, and it is unlikely to be closed for repairs. And at the same time, the authors will not be offended and traders
will have the new software in a timely manner. And whoever has not connected to the echo, let him transmit
lists, etc. through someone.
I think through an echo it is more convenient and faster. Send lists with conditions, and we will
read and send money as much as we can.

Vladimir Bogdanovitch.

Get Msg, Vladimir!

01 Jul 97 00:36, Vladimir Spashko reported to Vyacheslav Mednonogov about {Author's
software for the whole country}:

VS> Then the price is discussed with willing regional distributors using soap or
VS> by phone distribution

We are talking about different ways of distributing software. Distributing distributions is an outdated method, because... does not encourage authors to
write new software due to the _extremely_low_ level of payment. Although
traders are, of course, satisfied with it :)))

VS> taking into account the quality of the program and the possibilities of the city for which it
VS> is being sold (for Moscow and for Uryupinsk the prices, naturally, should be
VS> different)

“Naturally” is when the author really _sees_: in Moscow they sold
100, in the glorious city of Uryupinsk - 10. Everything else is not natural.
And so I have seen this picture more than once in St. Petersburg - someone buys a new software/distribution in
Moscow for the notorious $20. He immediately resells it all to 6-7 points on the market. And it turns out that Peter honestly bought the distribution from the author for $20. It just brings tears to my eyes from such honesty :~-|

VS> Then, at the same time, the program is sent to everyone by mail with cash on delivery
VS>, instead of “meeting/seeing off trains”

These options have long been known - usually:a) it’s difficult to come to an agreement b) traders
start selling distributions to each other c) they don’t send money at all, because
the distribution, according to them, didn’t pay off d) and in general, who has seen normally
protected software distributed by distributions

VS> And call on the phone, find out which of the St. Petersburg traders is still
VS> is engaged in sales, then wait until the trader deigns to fulfill your
VS> order... (and by that time, you see, broken software will do).

What is the conversation about then? Wait for the broken software - and you won’t have any problems, and
less hassle for the author :)) And there are two large St. Petersburg traders working with intercity
(as I already said): f. Logros and f. Scorpio.

VS> So IMHO in this case the regional distributor
VS> acts as a “buyer”, and the buyer should not be valued wait
VS> that he himself will look for sellers, and lay everything out for him on a plate
VS> :-), as long as he pays the money...

What am I doing? I described everything in such detail :))

Warm greetings, Slava!

VM> “Naturally” is when the author really _sees_: in Moscow

The number of sales can be calculated with fairly high accuracy based on
the population of a given city.

VM> A So I have seen this picture more than once in St. Petersburg - someone
VM> alone buys a new software/distribution in Moscow for the notorious $20.
VM> He immediately resells it all to 6-7 points on the market. And it turns out that

So I’m saying the same thing: if he buys for Peter, then the price should
be appropriate, and then let him do what he wants with him. In such a
situation, it makes sense for traders to join forces, chip in and buy for everyone.
But they will be sure that the soft will get to them first and while competitors
take it, they have some time, and this, given the current hunger for
new software, is tangible advantage.

NM> The most convenient option is a distribution kit, the worst is wholesale.

From the point of view of the distributor. From the author's point of view, it's the opposite. The third
option - on commission - does not seem to suit you very much either. Well, they wanted the best way, it will turn out as always :((

NM> If the distribution kit is purchased, then it will not be distributed left and right
NM>.

There are many opposite examples, even in St. Petersburg (starting from SPF, ending with Prince).

threat\ well, I don’t like distribution kits :((

With warm regards, Glory!
