Get Msg, All!
Here an idea was born on how to easily create an attribute video (when one
pixel is equal to one familiarity):
1. In 3DStudioMax or anywhere else, create a color video with a frame size of 32x24
2. Scale each frame of the video 8 times in X and Y.
3. The resulting frames are 256x192 in size (for example, in bmp format)
4. Then you can easily convert them into scr format (for example, using zxc)
5. In each scr, you cut off 6144 bytes with graphics and leave 768 bytes with
attributes, which, in fact, was what you should have received.
Summary:
a) 2IG: please add it to the faq
b) when using an idea, a link to copyright is required :))
Warm greetings, Slava!

I had it for a long time, but in a slightly different form:
Distilling ready-made videos: divide the frame by 32 x and 24 by y, we determine
the predominant color in each square, match it with the most similar one from
the palette of 64 Speck colors, fill the disk (848 pictures) and show
on the screen, loading them with a super turbo loader with music (POWER_UP).
All the best, Alexey.

But you can do it interlinear.
And the missing lines can be supplemented with a copy at the top, or left blank.
This will increase the speed of loading/displaying on the screen. If all this

If you connect a CD or a screw, then... Well, you can do it on a bunch of floppy disks (this depends on
opportunities and desires :). By the way, how many terribly packed pictures will fit on a disc (there is no need to output music), in 16x14 spaces, with the same attributes? (Well, to be able to show at least 15 frames per second, taking into account reading from the disk - or is this completely unrealistic?).

If people need it (at least a person dial 50-100), and there is a person who is ready to write a converter and viewer (on the Spectrum) - then I can take on this noble
mission ;) Fortunately, there is an opportunity. And if things work out, then we can
put everything on the conveyor belt: for example, “fifth element 2” (or something else

I think it’s realistic to create your own format for recording frames in which not the entire
frame is changed, but only part of it - something like an MPEG, but you need to write an encoder - for example,
take a video, decompose it into separate frames, frames are laid out into lines
(preferably on a computer ;) then - a frame is taken, compared line by line with the next one
and the difference is recorded. We receive a data stream, which we play on the spec
player. Although the implementation may not be as simple as it seems...

What are you talking about? Demes have not been written for effects for a long time. We need a concept, a plot, a script. All effects are connecting elements, like graphics and music.
Of course it’s good when there is something revolutionary (it should be), but you can
make a hyper-design development and... WIN DA COMPO =)

I once did something like this: I took two frames, superimposed one on top of the other
via XOR, and the result was a frame with rather loose graphics - 80% or more filled with
zeros. Now you just need to compress the resulting frame (it compresses much better than a regular frame). When outputting to the screen: the first frame is displayed in normal form
(base), the next frame uncompressed into the buffer
is XORed onto it, and if the current byte is zero, then we simply skip it and move
to the next byte of the frame.
All this tested and works.
