Get Msg, All!

As you know, ZxNet and SpbZxNet have switched to standard addressing:

500:COD/NN.NN (where COD is the telephone city code)

However, it is not possible to write soap to these addresses:( Two questions arise:
a) when will this become possible?
b) has the old addressing been cancelled?

With warm regards, Glory!

Hello, Vyacheslav!

It’s quiet outside the window, and I’m sitting and writing a response to a letter written from Vyacheslav
Mednonogov to All Thu Feb 12, 1998 at 01:05...

The old addressing has been canceled once and for all. And writing soap - as usual, through gates. ;) There is also a Moscow i-net/fido gate and a similar one in St. Petersburg. Here
write on them (which one is absolutely not important).

On 2:5030/529.13, 2:5030/287.32 2:5030/399.12 - I’m located, with a fido-zkhnet
gate. So, according to the rules of gating (standard), you send soap to me.
What does standard mean? In the %to% field you write the name/surname of the addressee, in the first
line of the letter “to: vasia pupkin (500:812/*.*)”
And that’s it.

With all kinds of regards and wishes.
Igor.

It’s strange, soap from St. Petersburg to Moscow and back travels through our channels regularly.

VM> Two questions arise:
VM> a) when will this become possible?

Get also an address in SpBZXNet :)

VM> b) has the old addressing been cancelled?

Write in the old way, this option in 095 has not been cancelled. And for FIDO it will remain the same
for a year.

Sincerely, Alexey Ivanov

Okay, look what happens when spbzxnet's people write soap:

By the way, another question - when the time comes that it will be possible to simply address 500:nnn/nn.nn? Or never?

Warm greetings, Slava!

Most likely never. This is currently not possible. Although... You can
get, for example, a point in St. Petersburg from Igor Timashev. ;) In general, he
should think about how to gate zkhnetchikov's soap in Fido according to the standard. Well, you can still answer this letter, but to do this you need to send a letter
to 2:5030/362.2 (fidoshny). Although I’ll go now and try to teach Timashev...
;)

VM> write:

Here you need to act like this: In 5030, the five hundredth node is allocated, responsible for working
with FIDO. You register a direct message in fasteha: all the 500th addresses go to that node. Those. your tmail calls to the feed node and to the ZXNet node.

For 5020 it will be decided soon.

Sincerely, Alexey Ivanov

VM>> simple address 500:nnn/nn.nn? Or never?

IG> Most likely never. This is currently not possible.

Why? As in all networks: register in the software a direct connection to 500
the nearest node (if one works) and everything that is written to the 500th network will
be reset there. Over time, routes within cities will be laid.

Sincerely, Alexey Ivanov
