OVERKILL MASTERS : PART II
NO ACTION
I looked at the setting sun and the strange
old yellow bus heading towards
my castle along a huge autobahn, and could not
understand what they wanted, because
there is no bus stop near me. Meanwhile, the bus kept shortening the distance between
him and me.
“What the hell do you think,” I asked
the Devil, who had recently returned with a bunch of different trinkets made of gold and other equally precious metals, “what the hell do they want here?
“This is not for me,” the Pole assured me and
looked at Chuev, “maybe for you,
Andrey ?
“Hey, come to me,” the super agent responded politely, “this clanging and creaking is starting to irritate me!
Chuev angrily hit the granite tooth and
it fell down - into a moat with water and
piranhas. His anger was not in vain.
The old bus moved so noisily
that the noise made the stained glass windows
and the glasses on the table tremble. The vehicle for transporting people was already a kilometer from the castle. I
began to give orders and money that
I didn’t have.
- Lower the drawbridge! - I shouted, taking the sword out of its sheath.
- Lower the drawbridge! - the centurion's order was heard
in the castle courtyard.
Ten people ran to lower the bridge.
Then I realized that I had said the wrong thing and hastily
added:
- Raisebridge and lower the grille !
- Lower the grille and raise the bridge ! -
the centurion shouted furiously to the crowd of stupid
people who for some reason were lowering the bridge.
- These are spies! To their dungeon! -
I commanded.
The guards grabbed the careless warriors and
threw them into stone bags. Andrey, meanwhile, was leading the archers.
- Shoot to hit the wheels and eyes
of the driver! - the powerful voice of the SBM super agent was heard. Shtoza rushed to the firing points and gave advice to the machine gunners. The bus was approaching
the end of the asphalt surface and its
existence. Everyone was waiting for the order.
- Destroy the devil's cart! -
I shouted and it began...
The archers' arrows pierced the tires of the wheels
of the bus and it had to stop.
Stones and
vessels with Greek fire flew over the walls of the fortress. A couple of stones
turned the bus over, and the Greek fire
ignited it. The machine gunners finally found the bus with bullets and hit it with a massive attack. It exploded, and burning parts of the machine
and smoking bodies of people flew in all directions. Thick
smoke fell and the image disappeared.
“This is an enemy smoke screen,” my voice was heard, “put on
gas masks, use heat detectors and
radars.” Destroy everyone.
The thousand-man deployed his army in the castle courtyard, giving orders to the centurions.
The bridge slowly lowered, and the grating began to rise with a
creaking. The people
grabbed their swords and ran towards the opened
passage under the precise guidance of the centurions.
The archers spotted the enemy and began to
shoot the wounded. The army of the thousand-man
Rogvold discovered a large group
of people and began a battle, or rather a massacre.
Unarmed old men, pregnant women and
children were carefully chopped into cabbage.
The army moved further and began to use slings
to knock down from the trees the men who, out of
fear or courage, climbed into the forest plantations and bravely fell, knocked down by stones. Below they were grabbed, brought to
the castle and thrown into the fortress dungeons.
Joyful cries informed us in the castle
that another batch of women had been found. The army
met with deafening resistance, but
accurate machine-gun fire mowed down more than
half of the women's detachment, crushing them into mincemeat. The remaining individuals were captured and
divided between the centurions and foremen.
The proud army returned to the castle with whoops and screams of joy and exchanged
impressions with archers, machine gunners
and catapult crews. In honor of the great
victory, negligent soldiers
who tried to lower the bridge ahead of
time were released. Preparations were underway for the feast. Unfortunately, we had toto begin their work and, reluctantly, went to the basement, counting on returning to the beginning of the celebration. Having gone down the long narrow spiral staircase, we, that is, I, Andrei Chuev, Shtoza and Rogvold headed to the cells of the prisoners. Many of them were empty,
many contained human skeletons,
eaten by rats. Walking along a wide corridor, on the stone walls of which torches burned at regular intervals, we heard the moans and screams of the captives. We were already approaching the torture chamber when we were pierced by the blood-curdling, terrible cry of a man dying in pain. Rogvold wiped the sweat from his forehead with a large old handkerchief, I didn’t pay
special attention, Chuev smiled with pleasure with a devilish smile, and the Pole calmly continued to walk, not expressing his feelings in any way.
We entered the terrible cell. Executioner Kolya
was removing another subject from the pillar.
It was hard to untie the ropes, wet from sweat and
blood, and he had to cut them
with some kind of chopping object, the purpose
of which I vaguely imagine.
“We should buy more ropes,” Kolya Vanin told
me, kicking a coil of excellent
hemp rope, - otherwise these bastards will spoil her so much that they won’t be able to untie her at all!
Having finished these words, the SBM executioner brought
his combat boot down into the
prisoner's side. He groaned, but didn't move. Having first watered it with water,
Kolya picked him up and took him somewhere. We
stood and waited. One torch burned out and went out. We simultaneously looked at the sleeping guard. Under the massive gaze of the top of the SBM and the best people close to the directorate of the Makarovgrad special services, the guard woke up. Seeing us, he turned white and
with lightning speed he replaced the extinguished lamp.
The tension was discharged, but then
Vanin entered with a prisoner on his back. Kolya quickly
tied him to a post and explained to us:
- This is the bus driver and now he will tell us
everything!
The torture began...
The whitened best people of Makarovgrad slowly climbed the stairs.
Having somehow swallowed the lump in my throat, I said:
- But still a very strong-willed person. He was.
He didn’t blab anything to us.
Everyone agreed, and the Pole also remarked:
- You might think he didn’t know anything and
just worked as a bus driver.
We laughed and, already in a good
mood, entered the throne room. From
amazement we stood in place and only
Shtoza calmly walked up to the table and
ceremonially raised the goblet. Rogvold hurried to him and stood next to him, also squeezing a largecontainer
similar to a liter mug. The whole hall stood up. The warriors stood around huge tables simply bursting with all sorts of food and drink. Andrey and I ceremoniously walked to the main table and stood on both
sides of it. Raising the cup of wine according to the old custom and looking around at everyone gathered in the hall, I began a speech: - Today we had a very successful day. We defeated the enemy who brazenly tried to penetrate the ancestral castle of SBM and destroy us. And I know who our
main enemies are.
Everyone fell silent, waiting to hear the names of
opponents. I did not deceive their
expectations and said:
- Suvorov and Borisov.
The hall exploded with cries of amazement.
Centurion Rafindir stood up and said:
- But wait, after all, Suvorov is the head
of a special sector, and Borisov is the minister
of finance of Makarovgrad.
The hall agreed with Rafindir and
excitedly shouted. I raised my hand, the hall fell silent and I continued: - Yes, they occupy high, important positions. This is why they are dangerous. Yesterday I
supplied my supercomputer with all
available data and it issued a report - I
pulled a printout from the wide
pocket of my raincoat with my free hand and began
reading:
BEGIN
It is 98% likely that the main internal
enemy of Makarovgrad and the king personally is
Suvorov. Chapterspecial sector
blackmails the Minister of Finance, threatening
to reveal the location and, most importantly,
the presence of the palace at the Ministry of Finance, forcing
to destroy Potapov and Chuev, employees of
SBM.
100% probability that comrade
Borisov's castle is located in square A-8, since
as the SBM castle is in square D-8, and
Palace in E-8. It is urgent to take
measures against Comrade Borisov, and
then break the resistance of the special
sector in its center (square D-1) and
destroy the head of the opposition Suvorov - his
fort is in square E-1.
EOF
Having finished reading the dry lines of the report, I
hurried to finish the speech, since my mouth
was already dry:
- Tomorrow morning we are going to the palace
of the Ministry of Finance, and in the afternoon to a special sector.
Let's drink to our luck! - I made a toast and took a sip from the cup. There was a friendly
"Hurray!" and everyone followed my example.
People sat down in their places and the feast began.
Having finished the goblet containing 0.75 liters of wine, I
began to greedily absorb the food.
- SBM agent with special powers -
Lapezia, - announced the servant at the door and
opened it.
With metal rattling, Lapezia entered the hall.
All grimy as a corpse cleaner, he walked to
the middle of the hall and stopped.
“Good evening, gentlemen,” he addressed
everyone in the room, “bon appetit
!
PeopleThey made a noise, inviting the agent to have a meal with them and drink to their luck. Lapetia did not refuse and sat down not far from me.
A conversation started.
- In honor of what was the feast organized? - asked
smurr.
“Victory, we are celebrating victory,” the warrior began
to explain.
Having told Lapezia about his exploits and
the meanness of the enemy, he also informed the agent about
plans for tomorrow. Smurr was upset. I
saw this, connected the three Lapecia into
one and tied it with a rope. I asked:
- Why are you upset, worthy
man?
Smurr began explaining:
- Look at me, - he pointed to
weapons hung on him like toys on a New Year's tree, - today I...
Lapetia looked at the chronometer and
corrected:
- More precisely, yesterday, I bought so many weapons
that I could barely carried away And why all? Yes, because - he took the paper out of his pocket and threw it on the oak table in front of me. I looked at the ID and called Andrey over. He, too, immediately recognized the ID. Lapetia took
and hid the leaf. Continued:
“I wanted to make a bet with you,” he
began to speak louder, “bet that I will kill
more enemies than you.”
The hall fell silent in order to explode with
laughter.
“My friend,” I said, catching my breath
after another bout of laughter, “so
why are you sad?
- Because that, boss, tomorrow
you may benot to be,” the crazy renegade Smurr agent finished the sentence.
I quickly became serious. The hall fell silent again, expecting a scene of bloody showdown, but here I deceived their expectations.
- Now you won’t get out of it! - I said angrily, - You, Smurrian henchman, will come with us tomorrow and
will fight next to me, in the front
ranks. Whoever wins gets three
million dollars from the loser, - I got serious, - this is the camera you
mount on your main weapon.
I threw a cylinder at the smurra, a little more
a pair of AA batteries. I continued:
- For every person you kill, you will point
the weapon and press the button.
Lapezia looked around the camera, found the button and
pressed it. A flash of light
blinded the agent for a couple of seconds.
“Yes, it’s a camera, idiot,” Andrey was pouring wine...
The feast continued, but I was already asleep. A long day awaited me. Very...
