THE HORROR OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE
The royal treasurer slept very
badly. He had nightmares: poor
taxpayers work twelve
hours a day and honestly pay all taxes,
in some places reaching 158%, and at this time
a handful of people, only two people, shovel
money from the treasury and live like
kings. Borisov saw the life of these nasty people and envied them with black envy, which he was filled with. He woke up in a cold sweat and got up from the bed, the size of a runway (translator's note). Walking across the carpet, sinking knee-deep in it, he reached the mahogany table and, taking a golden goblet, sat down in a soft chair made in the 18th century. He drank greedily in large gulps. light wine and
tried to drive away the horrors of dreams.
The day began early for the Ministry of Finance. Poor
taxpayers again sent requests
to reduce taxes. Borisov immediately
threw these petitions into the fireplace. Then he
looked through the correspondence. Following
the bills went into the fireplace.
There was only one letter left without a signature and
return. address. Borisov nervously opened the envelope and pulled out a sheet with unevenly pasted letters. After reading, the Minister of Finance fainted.letter:
hello, treasury of Makarovgrad, provalyaitus.
here we are, meeting again. you owe us
a lot, so pay attention:
YOU WILL KILL SBM!
senses and Potapov, otherwise
THE KING WILL FIND OUT ABOUT THE PALACE...
We
Having woken up from a deep faint, finances
could not come to their senses for a long time. Either
the door was closed, then no one opened it.
A couple of hours later, Borisov arrived at his
office in the government building. He
tried to put the papers on the table and thoughts in his head in order. Neither one nor the other succeeded - they refused to go into order. The minister's torment was interrupted by the phone ringing.
“Hello, Dima,” came the cheerful voice of
Chuev, a super agent of the SBM.
“Hello yourself,” thought Dima, but said
“hello Chuev.”
Borisov realized that Andrey’s cheerful tone did not lead to good. And it certainly doesn’t:
- I have two news: bad and
good. “Choose,” said
Chuev mysteriously.
Finances began to think. He had no doubt that good
news was disgusting for him, but what kind of bad news was it then? Even
worse? No, it’s better:
“A good one,” Dima asked in a trembling voice.
“Well, good.” Seva, well, the director of SBM, fell from
a tower 25 meters high and... Hey,
can you hear me? Dima! Borisov! - Chuev shouted into the phone, but his minister no longerheard. He fainted again, but this time from the wonderful news. And in
this faint he was happy...
... He woke up from a glass of water
spilled into his face.
- Well, baby doll, how are you? Alive? - asked Andrei Chuev, an agent of the security services, familiar with the methods of
restoring consciousness.
- What's wrong with the director of the SBM? - the Ministry of Finance asked in a dying voice, trying to observe the rules of decency.
- Don’t be upset! Before I had time to finish speaking, you leaned back! - Andrey
laughed, which upset Borisov, - he
survived, Potapov got out... Hey, wait!
What are you doing?! Wake up!
Chuev beat and punched the passed out
Ministry of Finance on the cheeks, but nothing helped. Then the super agent made up his mind - he unlaced his military boots and for a moment raised his socked foot to Borisov's nose. Hastily lacing up his boots, he waited for the result. It, that is, the result, did not take long to arrive. The financial
genius woke up and looked at the agent
with glassy eyes...
... Evening was approaching. Andrei, with his feet on the table, on some decrees and projects, sat on a chair and read the newspaper "Army News". Having laughed at some
article, he folded the newspaper, fell from the chair
to the floor, landed on his feet and threw the
newspaper on the table. It didn't make it to the tableand hit Borisov, who was sitting at the table in a heavy, solid chair. From such a blow, the chair and Borisov flew against the wall, the chair fell into small pieces, and Borisov fell out of the window, from the height of the basement. Running after Dima, Andrey continued to tell the news to the minister who had come to his senses:
“Well,” Chuev began, unlacing his boots, “Seva is alive, but his castle has noticeably suffered.”
The super agent took off his shoe and began to pull off
the sock.
“We’ll have to throw up some money for
repairs,” Andrey finished and put it down a sock
on the face of the sagging Minister of Finance.
The Minister of Finance had to pay
repairs and compensate for losses. Truly, the SBM super agent can do anything. You may even be able to get
money where there is none at all.
