Introduction to THE HOT HEADS and Cheboksary Scene

From Dr. Crash^The Hot Heads (Cheboksary, Russia) To Unbeliever^Speed Co. (Samara, Russia)

Dr. Crash from THE HOT HEADS (Cheboksary) responds to UnBeliever's advert in Oberon #4 magazine. He introduces the 8-member group roster and their release list, including Demn-17 and Egg Head 1&2, while announcing the upcoming joke magazine Hot FIVE #1 and the puzzle game Tower. Describing the local ZX Spectrum scene, he mentions active groups, widespread use of 3.5" drives, COVOX, and Kempston mice, as well as an ongoing search for Vicomm or X-Trade modem schematics to set up ZX-Net
Hello, UnBeliever! Dr. Crash / THE HOT HEADS is writing to you. I saw your advert in Oberon #4 and decided to write to you. Our group consists of 8 people: Dr. Crash / Muzaker, Coder, Organizer, Swapper. Demn / Main Coder, Organizer, Swapper. Striker / Main Coder 2. Virus / Coder 4 intros, Swapper Green Go / Hardwarer, Gfx'er Mad Dog / Gfx'er Elephant / Gfx'er Did / Coder (beginner). We were formed on 11.10.1996. During our existence we have released: APRIL'97 (first work, joke demo). FULL THROTTLE 2 (disk version) Gift 4 Slon (gift for Elephant) Crasy Curs 1&2 (collection) Demn-17 (gift trackmo) Egg Head 1&2 (collection). In principle, only the last 2 works are worth paying attention to (they can be distributed without feeling ashamed) /:-))! Coming soon from us: Hot FIVE #1 (magazine of jokes), Bashnya (TOWER) — puzzle game. Also in parallel with this, restored cassette games will be released. And now about the state of affairs in Cheboksary. Living here are: THE HOT HEADS, PHANTOM FAMILY, KINGDOM DREAMS, HEAT and MENTAL DROB. There are also users, but they are all gradually moving over to PC-shit. Though we, the groups from Cheboksary, are not going to move to PC yet (and will not in the next n years). There isn't a single Amiga in our city, so we gradually dispossess PCs. Many in the city have a Kempston mouse and COVOX, the majority have 3.5" FDD - rulez! The only problem is that there is no "press" at all, meaning no magazines or newspapers are published. Right now we are setting up ZX-Net here, but everything is stuck on a modem schematic. PHF developed a Vicomm-compatible one, but they charge way too much for it. So we are looking for a schematic of either a Vicomm or an X-TRADE modem. Well okay, that seems to be all! Bye! P.S. Send letter 2 ME. SEE U L8R. Metall playz 4ever! Bye!
