CD Exchange and Soviet Computer Emulators

From Vampire To Unbeliever^Speed Co. (Samara, Russia) 2 October 1999

Leonid (Vampire) acknowledged receipt of Maksim's CD, sent his own CD (v2.1) in return, and discussed CD distribution options and the availability of version 2.4.
Hi Maksim! I apologize for not sending my CD for so long, I was just "playing cards" for almost 2 weeks—that's the new slang around here for boozing, the old way being "schnapps bulken werk", and the morning after being "mort botten schwach". Well anyway, back to the point: I got your CD yesterday. To be honest, I haven't really looked through it properly yet, haven't had the time, but the presence of the BK emulator blew my mind—are there really fans of that "machine"? Though I did hear something about an RK-86 emulator around here... In short, from what I gather, it really is Rulez-z-z! By the way, thanks for the manual—otherwise it would be hard to figure out right away. Today, while I'm still sober, I'll send you my compact disc /it's my birthday today, 25 years have crashed down on my head/ or else by evening I'll be knocked out. My CD will be easy for you to navigate, everything is organized into directories and by themes, nothing is patched, so it's much simpler. Honestly, it's v 2.1, but v 2.4 has appeared in town, though there's nothing special there—mostly just stuff from Fido and a cracked Black Crow 1 (Ch.V-1), but I suppose that's not crucial for you since you have a point address... It's just that right now and almost until the New Year, v. 2.4 is impossible to find /first the guy who sells them had his burner break down, and now there are some other problems again/. Long story short, there are only a few copies of v. 2.4, and no trace of them can be found in the city... Confirm receipt of my CD in writing. I'll think over your offer regarding selling your CD, but I don't want to count chickens before they hatch. By the way, your CD has cool artwork, "kind Uncle Billy"... and "Fuck the skull of Microsoft" is awesome, though the inkjet printer quality is kind of lousy, but honestly, I don't even have one like that... Alright, I'll wrap this up. Once again, let me know when you receive the CD, don't disappear! Best regards, Leonid /Vampire/ 02.10.1999 If you're interested in that CD, I'll inform you when the guy's issues are sorted out.
