The magazine was planned to feature sections for beginners and programmers, software reviews, a games section, news, competitions and interviews.

We are delighted to present the first issue of a new Russian magazine devoted entirely to the Amiga computer:
AMiGA Rules
The magazine owes its existence, first and foremost, to the oppressive situation that has developed in our country.
To date, there is not a single high-quality Russian-language print magazine.
AMIGA fan clubs are fragmented; often, not only do they fail to communicate with one another, but, to put it bluntly, they are at loggerheads, thereby causing considerable harm to the development of the AMIGA in our country.
There is no single, universally accepted standard for Russian-language software.
Other well-known magazines completely ignore the existence of AMIGA in Russia.
We all very much hope that the magazine ‘AMIGA Rules’ will relieve the vast army of AMIGA computer enthusiasts of the information drought that many Amiga fans have been experiencing for many years now. In the pages of the magazine, we will endeavour to introduce readers to the experiences of both foreign and domestic users and programmers.
What interesting content can be found in the pages of ‘AMIGA Rules’:
a section for beginners, which will provide introductory information on the computer’s functional capabilities, the basics of programming, and so on;
descriptions of both the latest and most popular system and application software;
news from around the world about the AMIGA and everything related to this computer;
new hardware and possible upgrades for the computer;
a readers’ forum dedicated to AMIGA issues;
a programmer’s section, featuring descriptions of various programming languages, the most interesting procedures, original approaches, and so on;
a games section with descriptions of the latest games and those that have already become classics, everyone’s favourite games, game secrets, passwords, tips and tricks, and much more; competitions for the best work in the fields of graphics, music, programming and illustration;
interesting interviews with stars from both the international and domestic Amiga scenes.
In publishing this new magazine, we hope it will be useful to everyone: from beginners to professionals. Everyone will discover something new and find valuable and useful information.
We offer two versions of the magazine:
AR1'98-C – the magazine is printed entirely in colour. /36 roubles/
AR1'98-B – the magazine has only a colour cover, whilst all text and illustrations are in black and white. /18 roubles/
The editorial team plans to publish future issues of ‘AMIGA Rules’ with a supplement. Several floppy disks will contain some of the programmes discussed in the magazine, as well as readers’ work in the fields of graphics, music and programming.
