Kemerovo Calling: PLAYGEAR COMPANY is Looking for Partners
Alexander, organizer and editor-in-chief of PLAYGEAR COMPANY from Kemerovo, is writing his first letter to SAGE GROUP after spotting their ad in Spectrofon issue #21. The company, just over a year old, grew out of his ZX Spectrum enthusiasm that began in 1995 when his articles on Elite were published in ZX REVIEW. The connections he made through subsequent correspondence led him to co-found PLAYGEAR COMPANY together with local hackers Daniil, Denis, and artist Artyom. The group owns several Spectrum-compatible machines (PROFI 512kb, Scorpion 256 turbo+, Pentagon 128kb) and has produced a number of programs. Alexander proposes a mutual exchange of disks and software catalogues, and invites SAGE GROUP to get in touch.

Hi, guys!
Recently I got my hands on issue #21 of Spectrofon, and in the ADVERTISEMENTS section I saw your announcement — so I decided to write, of cozzz. This being my first letter, I won't write too much, since I don't know yet whether you'll reply or not. I'd gladly accept your offer of cooperation and would love to establish an exchange of progs and information about the Speccy with you!
Now, a bit about myself and our company. It has existed for just over a year. I am the organizer and editor-in-chief — I handle virtually all the correspondence and software exchange. I got into all of this back in 1995, when two of my articles on the topic of Elite were published in ZX REVIEW. I asked the editorial team to publish my address — and huge thanks to them for that! Naturally, after that an active correspondence and exchange of progs began. I couldn't even imagine I'd receive so many letters! Through this I got to know some of our Kemerovo hackers: Daniil Bayanov (Daniil) and Denis Latyshev (Cardinal), as well as artist Artyom Prosvirin (Artio). As a result of these acquaintances, PLAYGEAR COMPANY was born. Since then, quite a few programs have been created — I won't list them all, I hope you'll see for yourselves soon. Personally, I'm not coding at the moment — there just isn't enough time for everything. I'm married, family and work come first, of course. The time that's left goes to processing information. But none of these "obstacles" will kill my interest in the Speccy! Our machines are: PROFI 512kb (mine), 2 × Scorpion 256 turbo+, and Pentagon 128kb.
So, that's us in brief — if you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll gladly answer! Now I'll be waiting for your disk with a catalogue, and I'll add mine to it. I think it will pleasantly surprise you — the shell in particular! I'll also throw in some of our progs. On that note, goodbye for now — awaiting your reply! With great respect, Alexander.
